QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 10:03 PM) I wish we took the great approach of don't swing at balls and swing at strikes down Hopefully the youth movement brings a changed in this horrific philosophy.

Monday and today could have certainly been played at regular time and gotten full game in and in past years they have played in worse conditions.

Seven hours since the last significant rainfall.........if it was raining at 5 and then poured thereafter ok but I was outside from1 until 8 and while it rained at no point was it even close to being cold and rainy enough to cancel the game. I am not certain what the white sox plan was but this was an epic failure. I don't want to see this horses*** team again this year so the voucher for my $105 ticket is worthless as was the $20 parking pass I got for the game. Again I understand weather is an issue but today after 2:00 was fine for a game this is a poorly run organization at this point. -

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 04:15 PM) No one forced you to show up when the forecast was sh** all along. No sure what you expected. They obviously want to get the game in if possible on OD. This game could be official by now. Real bad organizational decision at this point stunningly bad actually. REO Speedwagon sang the national anthem ....that's the state of this piss poor organization right now. Wasted $110 a seat for this. -

Has not rained in over an hour and has been playable for two hours. Sky is actually clear. If this game is called now this is a truly classless move after playing last year in snow. Also the car rides to the field could be the dumbest thing I have ever seen. -
My guess is the White Sox want Torres and want to deal with the Yankees.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 20, 2017 -> 08:41 AM) The NHL's statement said that they couldn't confirm the moment Panik's stick actually touched the puck over the line, so that gave Toews the time to get back onside I guess. If they are gonna be that exact about these offsides reviews, I feel like it's gonna become just like the NFL catch rule. A couple of things. The referee seemed to impede Toews which should not impact the call but it did cause him to be offsides I actually like that on a bang bang play like that they seem to not be penalizing the team. It was not blatant and it did not impact the play. Toews was coming back to touch up it was not like he was entering the zone with Panik and gained the advantage of being ahead of the play. I will admit I did not see the Minnesota Parise play and they may change my thought on this.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 10, 2017 -> 01:53 PM) Ted Phillips wants to recall this email. Ted Phillips knows nothing about football neither does George McCaskey thus neither should speak about the future of the Bears with any sort of certainty. The fact that a non-football person runs the Bears tells you all you need to know. The buck stops and ends with Ryan Pace who had no experience running a football organization before coming to the Bears and is relied upon to be the sole football decision maker. That was what did in Phil Emery as well as Jerry Angelo (once Lovie got in the room to help make decisions). Pace, Emery and Angelo were all good football minds but they are/will be done in a couple of mistakes that will implode. Pace - Handling free agency Emery- Hiring a Bozo for a head coach Angelo- Giving increased roster handling to Lovie The bears need a President that can make a decent football decision. The former accountant and ticket manager are not that person. -

Red Sox acquire Chris Sale, White Sox get Moncada+

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 10:06 AM) They clearly couldn't get more. You could argue that a package of Robles/Giolito/Lopez from Washington is better but then you don't same prospect from Boston for Eaton. This was a long process. I'm pretty sure the Sox extracted the maximum value that they could. That's the big thing here. Look at both trades together and see if sending Sale to Washington gets you less for Eaton. The Eaton trade is the potential steal here. -
David Price Reports are Surgery NOT needed..

Is this possible. If he became available soon, could Boston sign Luis Robert to a huge deal then trade him as part of a package to the White Sox? -
QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 11:35 AM) Do more tix open up for each presale or are this many of the Buehrle game legit sold out already? Ya they only release certain seats for the presales. Buy off the map to see what is out there.

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 10:23 AM) Sorry guys. I'm home with the boys today so I'm not on top of these things as I normally am. Good seats still available. Grabbed my club level seats and parking for the opener. 32nd consecutive opener...God willing.

Was there a chance the Bulls could have gotten Noel and Cousins?

The new mid-day guy on the SCORE has some serious vocal fry. I thought he was terrible.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 21, 2017 -> 09:26 AM) I like the show and love the comics, but there have been a few other moments on the show that just looked terrible. I agree with you. The stuff on the last show was embarrassing but overall I still find the show entertaining. It's not must see tv but it's worth watching.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 01:16 PM) Forbes pegs the Bulls worth at $2.5 billion. So JR is sitting on about $3.5B in assets with two s*** ass sports teams that he does nothing to appreciate in value other than to sit on. I would love for a buyer to offer $5B for the Bears, Sox and Bulls, build a retractable stadium for the Bears and Sox and treat them like winning franchises run by knowledgeable execs not loyal minion.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 11:26 AM) The snow belt is an entire different animal than on the west side of the lake. We think we get it bad, but it's nothing compared to you guys. You get all the cold and wind and while we get an occasional lake effect snow, nothing like in IN or MI. But they have cheap gas and cigarettes.

I can honestly say I have zero interest in baseball right now. This is the first time ever I really do not care. I know they are rebuilding and it's necessary but I just do not care about anyone on the MLB roster. I should care about Rodon and Anderson but I don't.
