If you would have posted the situation I would have voted but no one can force me to read.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 10:39 AM) I think he's more like the Steve Yzerman of the new era. Good at everything, plays excellent in both ends and is without a doubt, a leader of men. You said this with a British accent didnt you? -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 10, 2010 -> 09:05 AM) yeah, Kane curled around the back of the net and back towards the benches and started pumping his arms, and I thought to myself "why are the flyers standing still? what is Kane doing? He looks like he scored, but the crowd, announcers, and even the production wasnt acting like he scored? So what the hell is going on?" What a crazy moment, very unforgettable I thought it was an unforgetful moment too buddy. -

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:14 PM) Wow, usually I know about this series weeks in advance. I didn't even know it was coming until I saw this thread. Yep, never would I be so overjoyed for the Sox to trade away 90% of the team. So I could care less when we play the Cubs. I dont even care what the Cubs do, they can win it all this year and it wouldnt bother me a bit. I am bitter because I count on having Whitesox entertainment on a daily basis to escape throughout the summer. That is taken from me completely.

Who will be the veteran leadership to lead this team to a title this year!....... I am so confused.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 11:43 AM) make sure you pray to Baby Jesus, and not the older one The older one is too busy with more important things than sports but baby Jesus handles things such as my favorite sports teams and getting me good parking spots when needed. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 12:09 PM) Is it a different pray each day SHIPPS or just the same ol one over and over again? Different sponsor, different prayer....todays prayer was sponsored by GMC.

There isnt a day that goes by that I dont pray to baby Jesus for Lebron James to become a Chicago Bull this off season.

Feels like the end of September... This just isnt fair. -
Okay, so I know mostly everyone reading this is going to say cry me a river but I have to try every means neccessary to find myself a better paying job. In the near future I will have a family I have to take care of. Although I make good money for a single man with little responsibility I dont make anywhere near as much as I need to to take care of my family in the future. I work double shifts a lot of times so I can save more but really this job isnt going to cut it when it all comes down to it. I thank God for even having a job but I need something better for my family, not so much for myself. I guess the areas I am looking for (cause I am willing to do anything that is going to pay me well no matter how hard the job) is working for the State or the City of Chicago but those jobs seem to be pretty hard to come by. Dont really know which way to turn other than having faith in God to lead me to a job that will allow me to be a provider. That was kinda deep....for shipps.

This was reserved for me to do knights birthday thread but because its Ace I guess it okay. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JER! Have yourself a Redamaks tonight!

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 5, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) Yep, and you are spot on. It annoys me when people think they know country when they don't know s*** accept for the garbage that plays on 99.5. Its just so annoying. The country music played by the likes of Montgomery Gentry, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Hank Williams, Conway Twitty, anything played at Country Thunder etc., etc., etc... it just blows new country out of the water.

Fort Worth....yep....Fort Worth. Still makes me giggle at least.

Joe Cowley says our season is over: do you agree?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 11:14 AM) No offense, but if you choose to "quit" go ahead and do it. No need to announce it on a message board. I realize emotions play a role in being a fan of any sport or team. But I have no sympathy for emotional, soap opera, drivel such as this. I'd have a lot more respect (not saying this is the case with you) if somebody just came out and said "Hey, I jumped on the bandwagon in 2005. The team sucks now. So I don't want to follow them anymore." That's direct, honest and to the point. Yeah, I hear you. But I wanted to say it anyways. I dont think I am ever negative on hear towards the Sox. Nor do I want others to jump on the "quit watching bandwagon" with me (nor do I want to be on a quit watching bandwagon). I am just puzzled as to why I have no emotion for this team. Never felt this way even in our worst seasons. -

You are stuck with me and you have no choice. Its not like I am some peace of meat you could just stop eating... its not that easy. -

It is still so early in the season but I have no interest in this team. I am not mad at them. I am not even really disappointed in them. I wish they had a better start and were still in the thick of things but even then I dont think this team would give me the interest that I always have for my beloved Whitesox every year. Year in and year out I am entertained and have some vested interest in certain player development or other situations that keep me tuning in but this year, this team does nothing for me. Half the team seems like strangers and I thought they would eventually become "one of us", obviously figuratively speaking (I am not even one of us). I have not connected with these guys and have a real hard time pulling for them. I cant tell you why but its hard to call this group of guys MY team. I dont know how to motivate myself and get the Whitesox juices flowing again. -
It was a a really beautiful wedding, I gotta say I hope mine is as close to as nice as Jasons was.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 23, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) Gavin Floyd, Carlos Quentin, Alexis Rios, Bobby Jenks are guys we bought low on. Freddy Garcia, Brandon McCarthy, Fautino De Los Santos were guys we sold high on. I understand that. I was just speaking in terms of fan base and how we envision the value of our players and the value of other prospective players from other teams in deals. Its all off whack a lot of the time.
