  1. I have to say, I agree. Glad to have you back on the boards but that name change be damned.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 13, 2016 -> 03:52 PM) I got Bulls at 2nd on my 2nd try. I have never been a good roll of the dice. I seriously clicked on that damn thing about 25 times and never once was the Bulls anything other than 14th LOL.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2016 -> 03:24 PM) Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 37m37 minutes ago Never gets old seeing a player realize MLB dream. "I've finally made it to where I want to be," Matt Purke said. "It's a wonderful feeling." Don't you automatically qualify for a pension once you play a major league game? Am could totally be wrong on that but I know the MLB union negotiated a really great deal when it comes to that.
  4. LOL WTF I really thought something a tad bit more news worthy would have happened today.
  5. Dont ask me why I am doing this but I keep on running this draft lottery simulator and the Bulls get the 14th pick every single time. It makes you wonder how the hell did they get that number one pick years ago. That draft lottery was soooooo fixed. http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/lottery_simulator
  6. Although I think I would always prefer to watch a game at home i still think there is value in going to a game. The handful of Bears games that I have been to were memorable experiences. I think you cheer harder and are way more elated when they make big plays then when you do at home. You feel the energy so much more and there is no way you can fully replicate that watching it from home on tv. Are there some plays you don't see? Of course, but for the most part you can see the basics of what happened and literally be a part of the show with your booing and cheering.
  7. All of the stars in the past would have been accustomed to being more tactful in keeping their skeletons in the dark. They wouldnt have been out there picking up prostitutes if they knew people had cameras on their cell phones recording them...or maybe they would.
  8. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ May 12, 2016 -> 09:29 AM) aye, tell me why I just clicked on this thread again thinking "Ezio Auditore" was someone who commented behind me? I am a dumbass. You are eventually going to respond to yourself with some snarky comment. LOL
  9. Any football games at soldier field after October are better to be watched at home/bar anyways.
  10. Caulfield and DA Your constant engaging and bickering with one another is truly annoying. Please knock it off...again.
  11. Last nights game felt like a barn burner from the very start. It is over and this is a new day. Get it done Latos.
  12. Wasnt Mondesi's dad caught for using steroids too or was that just speculation?
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ May 10, 2016 -> 02:21 PM) Who are the bullpen pieces we can rely on tonight: Duke (did he only face 1 batter?) Albers (because he's a horse/cat and non stressful inning Carroll - almost guaranteed Probably resting Robertson - 1 1/3 innings Jones - 1 inning Putnam (he pitched like 22 pitches) Jennings - 2 innings So, we at least need 6 innings. All the more reason I want to see a nice gem out of Rodon tonight.

    Short Sale Question

QUOTE (scs787 @ May 8, 2016 -> 05:49 PM) I'm gonna hijack this thread with a somewhat similar question. As some of you may remember, me and my family fell on some really hard times last year around this time. Due to back taxes we are indeed going to lose this house. We just got a notice yesterday saying we have until July 22nd to come up with 110% of what the people bought it for. Won't know until tomorrow what that amount is. Here is the thing. We are hoping to get a loan, BUT because this house is so run down we are thinking about ditching the whole sentimental thing and going after a foreclosed home. 2. Questions. 1. How quickly does the process usually take? 2. We have seen houses for "10k" but that can't be the total cost right? How much additional costs could there be? The foreclosed homes are put up for auction. So it may be that a home sells for $10k as long as there is no investor that sees a reason to come along and swoop in and buy it for more.
  15. Why is this process so long in suspending guys who are cheating?
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 10, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) I really liked the guy we lost...just because he came from the Ravens, haha. Speaks to Pace and how he is creating a culture. The Bears want people to perform well and go onto bigger things. Its not like the Lovie years where he wouldnt want anyone that may out perform himself.
  17. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 7, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) I would like my display name to be "MrBananaHammock7". Thank you. Nope.

    Music and more Music

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 9, 2016 -> 01:32 AM) New Chance mixtape on the 13th. He is in a NY hospital right now. Hope he is okay.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2016 -> 04:42 PM) 670 The Score ‏@670TheScore 8m8 minutes ago Report: #Bears to promote Mark Sadowski to college scouting director Biggs was on the score this morning talking about how the college scouting director job is up in the air. Which is it?
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ May 9, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) I liked it, bit long. Still crazy feature of marvel movies how hard I have to think back to remember parts of the movie. They are incredibly forgettable. I think I am this way with every movie I see. LOL My wife will sometimes insist that I seen a movie maybe 6 months previously and I will have no recollection of the movie at all. I will be sure that she is wrong. It is like I watched it for the first time. Actually its kind of scary.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 9, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) http://deadspin.com/we-have-found-it-the-p...born-1775539534 awwww Mike North, I would say I miss you but then i would be lying LOL that is magical right there. I cant believe I am saying this but that is bad even for Mike North's standards. They cant really believe those takes and they are just trying to get SOMEONE to pay attention to them but good lord that is embarrassing.

    Honeymoon advice

For a honeymoon I think its hard to go wrong. Wherever you go it is going to carry a life long lasting memory. You will think back on wherever you go as some magical place just because of the time you went. Love does that, its all about who you are with man. Its really simple.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ May 6, 2016 -> 09:58 AM) Now that draft is over I basically just seek out opinions that validate the Bears are gonna be gr8. McShay on his podcast said Bears and Ravens had the best draft, and said Floyd could be DROY. So, superbowl. I am trying to get in the mindset that we may have coaches who can develop raw talent. Lovie was a good defensive coach, but the fact that our pro scouting was so much better than amateur leads me to believe he was better at refining fairly finished products. Its been an adjustment in getting used to the fact that we have coaches that actually can develop guys. The knee jerk reactions with Floyd because people don't factor the development aspect of it when we had so many years of guys that just didnt do much of that. They want a polished talent that wouldnt require development. Floyd is only going to get better and better and better after Fangio and Fox start working in his head and on his body. He will probably be 25 pounds heavier by October.

    Short Sale Question

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 5, 2016 -> 11:19 AM) Second opinion. Find someone else. The banks will do everything they can to try and milk money out of a person. It is what they do. You have to have someone who is going to be aggressive. When push comes to shove, they have no right at any of your other assets, etc. All they see is a person with a solid score and other assets and they say, we can get more money from them...but from a legal perspective, they aren't entitled to any of it. I realize people struggle with this fact and want to pay back their debts, but look at the real estate industry and you'll see tons and tons of companies who structure themselves purely so they are isolated and can walk away from bad investments. You have to do what is in the best interest of you when working with a bank. These loans have risks and the banks underwrite them accordingly with risk margins, etc...they know some people will walk away and as long as you are honest with them in the underwriting process, my opinion is, you need to look out for your interests, not the banks. And from an FHA perspective, people pay even more in fees on an FHA loan which are supposed to cover the higher default risk anyway. I would get advice from another party (worse thing they do is come back to you with the same answer and none of them should be getting compensated unless action happens). I agree with this completely. I wonder if there is a limit to how many times you can try to get a short sale approved. Other than the ticking clock of foreclosure if you default on the payments of the loan.

    Short Sale Question

QUOTE (Tex @ May 5, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) The foreclosure problem was the homeowners could not make the payments. The mortgages had balloons and at a certain point the payments were too much and the borrower was defaulting on the loan. In those cases it was better for everyone for the banks to accept a smaller loss than having to foreclose and deal with all that. In this case the payments in all likelihood can, and will, be made. The other mitigating circumstance is y'all are choosing not to live in the house. If she was still living in the house, there isn't a problem for anyone. I agree if you can get the bank to gift you the difference, go for it. But I don't think your lawyers are being dishonest on their opinion. There really isn't a compelling reason for the bank to take the loss. If I was a shareholder in the bank, I'd be screaming if they did. On a side note, would you mind loaning me $10,000? My plan is to pay you back $5,000 and for you to forgive the balance. One other thought. With her credit in the 800s, I wonder how far it would fall if you did default? That could be a hit worth taking for $50k. A mid 600 credit rating is survivable if she trusts you will be married for the next decade or two. I think that is something she has considered. Plus she is actually really good with money outside of this huge misstep. She would probably build her credit faster than the average person, if thats possible.
