  1. We all want changes in the front office and in the dugout. That's a given. And we all know that injuries are mostly beyond the front office and manager's control. We also know that some front offices and managers are rightfully (and wrongfully) given second chances based on injuries. We don't want that to happen, so we act as of having Garcia in center or short instead of All Stars shouldn't make a difference. So we've lost a couple games to injuries, I'll blame players and Doc for not arriving in better condition and bad luck. I also blame Happy Hahn for not putting together a better bench and farm system to weather some of those. But it is injuries that cost a couple games. We lost a couple games to bad gambles by Sleepy in the dugout. The hitting approach that Dopey has been tasked with installing has cost us a couple games. Regression and lack of aggression (except for swinging early and often) has cost us games. Injuries exposed the barely competitive roster that Hahn put together. Injuries exposed Tony's inability to cobble together optimum lineups. But exposed them it did. So a couple games to injuries, a couple to Tony, a couple to decline in ability, a couple to attitude (also Tony's fault), and we have a four game lead not a four game deficit. The pre 2021 fan in me would be thinking we could get everyone back over the next twenty-five games, catch fire, and steamroll our way into the playoffs. I don't see that with Sleepy, Dopey, Happy, and Doc in charge.

    Leading the way of parity.
  3. Until he pulls the same thing with you three months in. I think we agree that leaving is the correct thing to do. We just disagree how to exit. Threatening to leave if you don't get what you want versus finding another position and just leaving.
  4. @Balta1701 Would you hire someone who just gave his employer an ultimatum of my way or I leave?
  5. Not many people can resign without a job in hand. That could end his baseball career. Nice to suggest for other people but probably not practical.
  6. Fresh blood is necessary. Fire the entire staff, especially anyone Tony hired. Let the new guy bring in a staff.
  7. You're right. That was hyperbole. But it's the same mistake again and again. Hoping for past glory from former employees. It's still a mistake.
  8. I wish he'd come out and say, these guys suck. They can't win. They are fragile as glass. The most underperforming team I've every managed.
  9. I would add Leury Garcia to that statement. He is misused the most by Tony. From batting him leadoff to three positions in three days.
  10. So Katz is new with Tony, Menechino is a hold over.
  11. Who was his hitting coach? Let's bring him back.
  12. I agree. I think the relevance becomes is it the roster, the injuries, or the way players are being used. Hahn put together a roster that could have won this division. Injuries and Tony destroyed it. I would much rather have Hahn and no Tony than Tony and no Hahn. I doubt we'll get no Tony and no Hahn. Players can't be overpaid. Throughout the CBA the overriding sentiment was higher player salaries. Garcia is fine, everyone else should be making more. Fuck JR and his profits.
  13. It didn't take long for the stench to get to him.
  14. Yet, so many people were expecting this team to win a division title, apparently including Hahn.
  15. Exactly. Yet so many still picked them to win. I was shocked at the prediction thread. I had them 3rd. Where did you have them?
  16. From Vegas to Soxtalk, knowledgeable folks picked this roster to easily win the division. That's about the only defense for Hahn that feels valid. This roster is under performing, which I put on Tony, injuries, and players. The non impact deadline is also on Hahn.
  17. Which is about half right. But for the third year they go into the off season needing to fill holes at RF, 2nd, and SP. Now possibly LF, C, and 3rd If we didn't think it was a playoff team we wouldn't be disappointed.
  18. Do we really believe that Tony, Rick, Kenny etc just allow him to coach whatever philosophy and approach *he* wants? Position coaches get their marching orders from someone. At the least, this is as much Tony's fault as Menechino.
