  1. Especially if the team is eliminated.
  2. I like the "I'll punish you until you quit" approach.
  3. This may be my second most successful thread start and #1 in Pale Hose.
  4. I'll take the under on that. He's a competitor and wants to get out on those road trips.
  5. 2023 Promotional Calendar June 14 is Participation Trophy Night. The first 25,000* fans will receive replica participation trophies, exactly like the ones Tony made for the players. *22,465 trophies will be left over.
  6. My high school was in the final 4 and projected to win in 2020. We have a huge trophy in our case with State Champion engraved on the side.
  7. My high school was in the final 4 and projected to win in 2020. We have a huge trophy in our case with State Champion engraved on the side.
  8. About $2,000 a minute at today's prices. So about $1,000 a home run. Just a guess.
  9. Any ideas how much JR is saving on fireworks by the team avoiding home runs? It has to be a couple hundred thousand dollars by the end of the season.
  10. JR from his suite sticks his head out and joins the chorus No hell below us Above us only sky. Look up to the sky people - fireworks* *After the game.
  11. I want a GM that talks about we'll win one in another thirty or forty years. Maybe make the playoffs every decade or two. Who would hire a guy for the Sox who has a goal of multiple championships lol ?
  12. Post of the year. Also a great example of how punctuation is so important. We all do Dick, we all do. Really changes the meaning.
  13. My accountability ranking 1. Tony 2. Players (slumping, declining, out of position, misused) 3. JR Distant 4. Hahn
  14. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
  15. Rick Hahn was perfect as a White Sox GM this season. He put out just enough talent to convince everyone from Vegas to Soxtalk that this was a legit playoff team. Excitement, optimism, sales, sponsorships, it was all good in April. There just wasn't any margin for things to go wrong. Injuries exposed a weak bench, MiLB system, and manager. Multiple players slumps and declines exposed a declining manager desperate to preserve his legacy by taking huge gambles and questionable (at best) decisions. Fire Hahn? No. He's exactly what we Sox fans should expect. He's the gold standard. Just enough, but not too much. It's our history, our present, and our future.
  16. My brain hurts from trying to merge the following thoughts I have. I'm not certain that anyone else has these collectively. A. My frustration with the front office - please fire Hahn for not gathering enough talent to win this division. And B. This team is underperforming and should easily win a crappy division. And C. Injuries don't matter, fire the entire coaching staff. If A is true then B isn't possibly true and C is partly to blame. If B is true then A is false and B is undecided. If C is true, then A or B could be true but not both could be true.
  17. It's a great franchise with a long history. Lots to players and managers with great character. Classmates and friends who are also fans. Opportunities to attend games. Seriously, and not based on this season or the current condition of this club, I'd encourage it. In fact I'll start a Go Fund Me to redecorate his room in Dodger blue and authentic home and away jerseys.
  18. Even if they come back it's not worth watching
  19. Well isn't this exciting.
  20. I'd love to see Larussa or Hahn get that gig. Maybe both of them.
