  1. Brando, are there these f***ed up cults in Russia?
  2. How about our current payroll, would you have signed Maggs or Frank to their current contracts? Both at some point, ate up a considerable portion. So it isn't if a guy is worth the contract, a guy may be worth his contract to a large market team and not a small market team.
  3. I want my own cult. How much for yer weeeeeeoman?
  4. I find it amazing that the Dems get zero credit when the GOP did not have control of both houses. Without the social spending, the feel good wouldn't have. It was democracy at it's finest.
  5. It seems that Ventura and Baines went on to play pretty well after they left the Sox. You said position player so Foulke is out of the discussion. One of the points I think you made is there is little drop off between a $12 million dollar player and a $8 million dollar player. I just wonder if that difference is the difference between WS and no WS.

    Nicole Kidman

Imagine if this was a 10 year old girl and it was Harrison Ford :puke But in this scenario, damn to be young again
  7. Of course Nuke with all the biological and nuclear testing they do on our military personnel, it stands to reason their just off plumb
  8. Of course their opinion is important, but of course the administration will parade some equally pedigreed military and diplomats that claim it is the right course.
  9. I think interleague play hurts the All-Star game. When it was played for the fans, it gave us those matchups you normally wouldn't have. When it was played for the fans, I could agree with the concept of letting the fans decide. Many big stars played on several more All-Star games then their stats deserved because that's what we, as fans, wanted. Now that the game matters, and the game isn't played for the fans, but to decide home field, make some money, etc. They need to take the hit in fan interest and remove the voting from the fans. Besides, why should the fans have any input?
  10. Juggs, I'm trying to follow your point. Are you saying he's not worth the money because of team rank, or because of the over all numbers? Would a player who was #1 on the team be worth 5/75? Would a guy with higher numbers be worth 5/75? Or, based on the current salary cap is no one worth 5/75? When you compare salaries, how do you decide what a valid average is? For example, if we used E-Lo as a basis for pitching last season, I'll bet every pitcher in baseball was overpaid, if we used Koch last season, every pitcher in baseball was underpaid. Would you change your mind of the Sox payroll was $75 million? $100 million? If KW could put together a line up of players who were all playing better then their contracts, would that be a championship team?
  11. From Queen Prawn in the Over 90,000, sox attendance this weekend was great! thread in Pale Hose Awesome Baby!
  12. That's going to the archive. Queen Prawn is on a roll
  13. Actually I love people with strong ideals. Brando, I4E, Apu, and Nuke have kicked my butt numerous times and I love them for it.

    Inactivist Judges

I copied their headline but I believe it is still accurate as I understand preserve: keep or maintain in unaltered condition; cause to remain or last; "preserve the peace in the family"; "continue the family tradition"; "Carry on the old traditions"

Supreme Court Preserves 'God' in Pledge The father does not have legal standing to speak for his daughter, but that's a different issue.
  16. I use Rodman as the poster boy for bad parenting and how forgiving fans are if the guy is wearing the home jersey. When Rodman pushed Pippen into the seats during a playoff game, Bulls fans wanted him suspended, banned, castrated, whatever. As soon as he was pulling boards for the home team the only talk was wwhat color hair he had for that game.
  17. I like that even more if you mean Mark Cuban.
  18. The guy left in the fourth inning? I wonder if the woman who had the misfortune to be sitting next to him who I will not libel by calling her his girlfriend, left also? I hope his buddies tell him what a jag off he is also. After the rush was over, he should have known to give the kid the ball.
  19. Yes, they would. But who knows what adjustments LA would have made after being down 2-0 vs. 1-1 and going to Detroit? Still it's nice to see the Pistons put up a challenge. I remember how sportmanlike they were when the Bulls finally beat them in the Conference finals. To not draw attention to themselves they left without shaking anyone's hands.
  20. Everybody has an opinion. If we start polling the military Bush will certainly come out on top, even without all his buddies from his reserve unit who never met him.
  21. I saw Clinton's portrat and I kept thinking where's Monica?
  22. In a 2-2-1-1-1 the Pistons would be travellling to LA and then have a game 6 at home to win it all. With the 2-3-2 they need to win three in a row at home.
  23. Gee, Jamie gets some playing time. It's all starting to make sense.
  24. BTW, we show sarcasm with green Welcome and don't forget to stretch out, look around and find the corners. We have a couple cool contests in the Sports Bar the Pick to Click PTC and a series prediction contest called YNOT. But really the best spot is Sex, Lies, and Politics. Unless you disagree with me then stay the hell away
  25. He has a nice little restaurant and motel on Choke Canyon about 2 hours from my house. I stop in for lunch every once in a while. There is also a nice tribute to him in Victoria, on my drive to Houston.
