It could attract Spanish speaking players. Although our governor might try to stop the team from playing in Texas. -

The corridos created to honor JR will be real tear jerkers. -

So same as Chicago? -
Weekend Update has never been better than the last couple years, but overall yeah, the show has been funnier.

A wouldn't tomorrow suck to learn the job will be done by a committee of Williams, LaRussa, and Hawk after consulting JR? It can get worse™
-
Does it matter? AAA is now in Chicago. Target 2027 to start multiple championship opportunities.

I'm so glad we have old people here who get obscure 20th century references. ❤️

I'm wondering if they could negotiate an incentive filled contract extension.

Dodgers have completely overhauled Lynn pitch mix

Prolly. But seriously, as a veteran would you make any changes based on this organization's coaches? What we don't know is if the changes were something the organization was trying to get him to make and he refused and we dumped him. Then when he heard it from someone he respected he made the change. I'm not trying to make excuses for our staff, rather point out how bad we think they are and probably how bad players may think they are. -
I spit coffee. Now I have to change my shirt.

Thank you. Lol

Not all of them. I'm thinking some knew that championships weren't built on their (insert soon to be injured body part). Others who had been here knew the smoke and mirrors and internal incompetence. Guys who signed circa 2020 where the one really fooled. I'm not certain where to place Liam. Questionable body part or fooled you too.

JR is following the As playbook. In two years fans will help him move. Guadalajara will be a huge market. But Mexico City makes more sense. Nah nah na na hey hey hey goodbye -
Grandal is one of us. In 2020 he signed a contract expecting to be part of a window of multiple championship opportunities. Like hundreds of thousands of Sox fans, he was excited and pumped for the future. He thought one day he and Leury the Legend would be on a float heading down Michigan Avenue. ? By 2023 he is part of the biggest s%*# show in sports and like hundreds of thousands of Sox fans is saying "f*** this s%*#, this franchise sucks, I want out". Like many of us, by the All Star break he didn't want to watch any games. He wanted to go to the lake with his family. Can we blame him? He too was fooled by JR and his minions. Lucy pulled the football on him. We can look away, he can't. Bwahahaha. Enjoy the millions, you earned it for enduring years of this. He's one of us. Welcome to the nightmare.

This "I can force the team to release me by my behavior started with Ozzie. They never should have let him out of the last year of his contract." Nicely played Grandahl if it works for you. Yeah that was a bit of trolling for the "this would never happen under Ozzie" fans.

First off JR has no fans outside of his family and shareholders. JR may hate Chicago fans which is why after he blows this up enough for fans not to care they are moving.

Nice to see he gives a s%*# again instead of going through the motions. -
"But even amid those factors and his long-stated desire to deliver on his $54 million contract, Hendriks insists he wasn’t rushed back this season, nor does he believe it was a factor in his injury. He believes it to be another misfortune that has led him to sum up his 2023 with a wry smile." ‘‘Not ideal,’’ he said.
-
What does Liam know about when he should have been back pitching? He's not the medical staff. Everyone here (other than @ptatc) knows the Sox rushed him back and it caused another injury. He's just trying to kiss ass to get a contract. He's the same guy who said he came to the Sox to play for TLR, the worst manager ever. The guy has no credibility. If he was a poster here we'd shred him in a day with his obvious baseball ignorance. Or maybe we don't know everything behind the scenes. And for those who didn't pick up on the sarcasm

Based on fan enthusiasm Soxfest could just be a party bus with a couple of the team ambassadors.

He was really chill. There was only a couple groups in the restaurant that day and he seemed bored. He saw my Sox hat and came over to say hi. I wasn't going to ask him about the fight but he mentioned it. It seemed like he'd have rather been on the lake fishing. Honestly it was three minutes tops. Looking back he may have a system worked out with the server to avoid long conversations. I think he owned the hotel behind the restaurant as well. Both were in the middle of nowhere and I believe both have been closed for a long time now.

That's the #1 qualification to be a WS manager. No one with other options would choose to take the job. It's a career killer.
