Yup, those protesters were in the wrong, absolutely should be called out. That said, it doesn't mean the movement itself is wrong. Hopefully they learn a lesson and any future protests are smarter, classier, and more meaningful.

I've been one of groce's biggest backers but this is unacceptable. If the season continues like this then he needs to go.

You can go cheaper and just get the standard model for like $180, or you can go up wards of $400 and get one that has a window, an internal light and a remote control to keep track and control the temp of the unit, as well as the temp of the meat. The window isn't really that helpful. It's tough to see when there's smoke, condensation and/or grime buildup. The light is awesome though, as is the remote control. It also doesn't waste a ton of chips. I use maybe 2-3 handfuls for an entire 12-13 hour smoke if i'm doing a pork butt. On my Weber I was using half a bag it seemed like. I've smoked just about everything in it: pork butt, ribs, chicken, brisket, salmon, mac and cheese, etc. etc. All comes out great. How does it hold up in Chicago weather? I've got a big patio but not really a ton of storage space for something like this. Would it handle winters under a covering? Or do you think it needs to be stored indoors.
