KC doesn't scare me as much as our 2000 team would have. KC hasn't gotten as hot as that team did, and they haven't played as well as that team did. Their bullpen has been crappy at times and their offense just isn't as good as ours was. The starting staffs are probably comparable, with KC's being slightly better though. 75-85 wins could possibly win the division....sad, but true.

Alomar's defense hasn't exactly been good since joining the Sox. He has made some nice plays. But he's also committed quite a few errors which I believe led to unearned runs. BAD TRADE! Two errors. And I'd much rather have his range defensively then Jimenez's. You think this past week was bad? It would have been worse with DJ at 2B.
-
Alomar's defense is worth the trade alone. His defense will save a couple runs a week. Those couple runs could mean the difference in some games down the stretch. Would you rather have that s***head Jimenez at 2B and still have Almonte, Ring, and Salvo, instead of having Alomar without the 4 above? I know I wouldn't. And Manuel will not be fired.

My birthday If you want an exact date....July 6th Too f***ing long ago

You know you want her, bro. She might not look like the hippo she is if you took off 500 pounds of that fat. Then she'd only weigh like 250. But I would love to have that mean piece of meat. More cushion for the pushin' I always say

Hey, I just said I hope they turn into the Blazers. Never said they would. I also said I hate the Lakers and that I hope they don't win it. They probably won't turn into the Blazers, they probably will win it all, and they'll probably win like 70 games.

Now that's what I call kankles. I think that looks worse then how the White Sox play.

I don't think there is anyone you can put in Frank's category, period. Thomas was a guy who just mashed the crap out of the ball, and he put up some very good power numbers along with a mind-boggling K-BB ratio, an incredible OBP, and an incredible OPS(I believe it is top 10 all-time....that's saying something). There aren't many that come along that are as great as Frank has been.

Konerko blows He just happens to be a good player come extra innings
-
Yeah you're right. I've never had a baby so I can't answer that question.
-
Why, did she poop in the movie?
-
I say that Paul Konerko only hits in extra innings from now on. IIRC, Kong's last two extra inning ab's.....2 HRs, one to tie, one to win

MR. CLUTCH DOES IT AGAIN!

The blazers? Ummm the Lakers have 4 hall of famers and the blazers have s***. The comparison is apples and oranges. I'm talking egos. Maybe Payton and Malone don't have egos....but I am definately sure that Shaq and Kobe do....and about everybody on the Blazers do. I really don't follow the NBA....but I do hate the Lakers, and this move makes me hate them even more.

Yep, and when we started one in CF(Don't remember which one it was) we won our only game in the past 3 seris. Konerko, Lee, or Daubach have to go and if it was up to me it would be Lee. He has the most trade value and would get us ome bullpen help if we traded him to the O's or Dodgers. Both Lee and Kong are available. Kong could go to the Orioles for Kerry Lightenberg, and if we give them a prospect, (like Josh Stewart ) we might be able to get Ponson. And I'd gladly do a Mota and Shuey for Lee, Glover, and White deal, though I don't think they would. Opens up a spot to put Everett in LF, Rowand/Harris in CF, and Daubach at DH with a start in LF and 1B every once in a while(Everett and Dauber just platoon in LF and at DH, while Dauber will, once a week, go to 1B, have Everett in LF, and Thomas DH). I don't see the O's taking Konerko unless the lose out on Dereck Lee who they are tring to trade Conine for. So the only way I see us trading Konerko to the O's if we except Conine back. And that wouldn't help us at all because it would give us another Right handed bat who can only play 1st, 3rd, and left. Oh I like your other deal. But one problem I don't see it happing. The only way I see it happining is if we trade Lee for Mota or Shuey straight up. Yansy, I agree with you Hawk would suck. I was just making a point earlier in a post. Conine's got a good bat. I'd take him. He'd be better then that piece of dog feces Paul Konerko

No, we aren't firing JM because JR doesn't want to pay for 2 managers at the same time like this. And yes, I think the Royals, with Jose Lima and Chris George(don't forget Runelyvis Hernandez either) as their top pitchers could very easily win the division. Can we come back? Sure. Play good baseball the rest of the year(like .525 or .550 baseball) and you can easily win it. I don't think we can do that. We need speed at the top of the order, because we have the same situation that we had when DJ was here and playing well. We have a great #2 hitter. Only problem is, he is leading off. Am I the only one here who noticed that since we have taken Rowand/Harris out of the everyday lineup, we have had a horrendous stretch of games?

I just hope that they turn into the Portland Trail Blazers. Too many egos for their own good. I have always and will always hate the Lakers. This kind of s*** pisses me off. This kind of thing is also why I hate the Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, Mets, and some other big spending teams(though more or less the 4 I mentioned above). Unless of course they don't win....if they don't win, it is a lot easier to not hate them. And Mourning is going to the Nets, if I heard correctly? IIRC, that would be a reunion of Mourning and Mutombo from their Georgetown days, correct?

And, I hate to get personal in saying this, you are f***ing dumb for saying that. Can you not be so goddamn pessimistic? We did take 4 of 6 from the much hated Cubbies, and we took 5 of 6 from Minny, getting them headed in the direction we want them to go in. That is a bright spot. Trading for Robby Alomar and Carl Everett is a bright spot, because it shows this team is willing to win. Tom Gordon and Damaso Marte being one of the best combos at the end of the game is a bright spot(though having Koch suck is not). Frank Thomas having a bounce back year is a bright spot. Having D'Angelo Jimenez and his bad attitude out of town is a bright spot. And these are just off the top of my head. So, unless you are going to put some thought into your posts, I suggest you just don't post. You can be pessimistic in your posts, but these people who just constantly are pessismistic drive me crazy. There are still 70 games left. We are playing like s*** now, and are still in this thing. I personally don't think we can come back, because KC will get a lead too big to come back from, but anything can and will happen. Maybe the team gets a little hot, gets a little momentum going after the ASB, they decide to keep the team together to keep the fans coming into the stands instead of the relationship between JR and the fans getting worse, we sweep the Royals in late July, sending them into a tailspin, along with Minny, and we go on a hot streak, kick the crap out of the west coast, and then go on to claim the division title. Right now, any of the 3 top teams in the AL Central have a good shot at the division title. Let's just see how it plays out.

I elect Frank Thomas

You just figured this out? It's quite sad. I said it in another post, but here it goes again. Congratu-f***ing-lations Kansas City on your division championship. I will enjoy watching you get swept in the ALDS. :fyou

I wish my grandparents would take me to see Eminem. I think I'd be hanging with them a little more often. Instead, I hear about how they haven't seen me in a long time and they were afraid that the gypsies had stolen me. I guess that's the kind of stuff you hear from people over 70. And my grandpa's probably going to die soon. It is sad, but I knew it was coming, not because he was getting older, but because he's smoked for 50 years. Nothing we can do about it. He's fighting with cancer now, but it was hard to see him the way he was. I don't think I've ever taken a trip with my grandparents. However, there is a drive-in that is actually up and running in the town they live in....one of the few still being used in South Dakota. I figure I'll go with them sometime soon....like hopefully this summer.

No, Wright has more value than PK. Danny has good stuff(a good fastball and a good knuckle curve) but no other pitches. We could actually use him as a reliever. We can't use PK as anything.
-
I figure that is just for tomorrow. I assume that Porzio will get the start in the game that Buehrle is not starting, and then Wright will be back up. I don't see why it would be any differently. We need another starter badly. I can't handle Wright and no one in the organization is ready to be used in the rotation. Wright would make a very good reliever though.
