If those are the biggest shortcomings you can find, then he's still a 10 out of 10. Frankly, his biggest failure has been the Keppinger move and, as far as I'm aware, he hasn't even played baseball with anyone yet, so that shows how much he cared about that. The Sox got rid of him as soon as they could and admitted a mistake.

I've always liked Taylor. Hopefully he earns a shot with the Sox. Sanchez is a small price to pay. I still am absolutely love everything Rick Hahn has done.

If the Sox fail to sign Rodon this year, and then fail to sign their pick next year, they lose the pick no matter how much they offer. This is why you will see teams with that pick go after someone that is way, way underslot. This assures that they get someone under contract for that pick while allowing them a larger allotment for the entirety of the draft (which is not reason enough to simply not sign Rodon).
