  1. Kopech can't even throw through a wet newspaper the way he's trending.
  2. Dunning is just muddling along but that trade isn't any longer this massive win it originally seemed to be...didn't result in even one playoff win.
  3. Much better than fellow Cardinal Joe Kelly!
  4. Because this is still spring training equivalent for Lynn.
  5. And the veterans aged out too early...both factors manifesting simultaneously.
  6. That's how the Guardians roll at home until Ramirez Reyes Gimenez or Naylor bite you with XB hits.
  7. Resting for ASG? Has to be in Chicago court for paternity lawsuit?
  8. Motivation. Defending division winner and Chicago vs. Cleveland inferiority thing. Greg will have a postgame mini dissertation on it.
  9. Except coming into this season he led AL fWAR for pitchers 2019-2021. Then again, Keuchel was a legit Cy Young contender in 2020 before quickly losing it.
  10. KW didn't exactly solve the problem coming down from the C-suite...
  11. https://www.mlb.com/news/2022-mlb-trade-deadline-roundtable Argues White Sox should be sellers and not buyers, most disappointing team so far this season (along with Angels).
  12. Of course, by that argument, the Twins were at least the co-favorite coming into 2021 based on the results of the 2 previous seasons. The reason for this second part is 50% (at least) based on how the schedule is laid out. Certainly not how well the Sox are playing against the Central.
  13. Except 35 to 40 EV players are not what the Nationals are going to be getting back in return. It will be 3-4 players with much higher predictability/EV’s.
  14. What explains the 2013~2016 inability to produce a winning team, since there was no ongoing interference at that time? That was KW's fault, I guess. At this point, Hahn is responsible for nothing or everything, take your pick. How can the Twins and especially the Guardians still manage to compete with half the resources over that time? Both those organizations, plus the Tigers for a prolonged stretch with Verlander and Cabrera, Royals from 2013-2017...have gotten the best of the White Sox for the past twenty years. 2000-2005-2008-2021 the only/notable exceptions. Signed, Thad Bosley
  15. Robert is the only one with HoF potential, but not with his current non-selective hitting approach and 10-15% reduction in speed...whether it's coached or he's just being tentative but he was much better the second half last year than this year's version. So hoping it's more psychological than physical. It certainly is with how he approaches the wall when going back on balls. Nothing like his 2020 form filled with numerous highlight reel plays. Tim Anderson's the only other player on the roster on that category, with the caveat that another five plus years of productivity at SS would start to merit legit consideration.
  16. Guillen joined the Marlins in 2012. LaRussa left the Cards after WS victory in 2011.
  17. Well, at least since the trade deadline less than a year ago...that's when things really started to feel dysfunctional with so many questions about who was actually responsible for the various moves.
  18. Does anyone really care THAT much about AJ Pollock this season to bury someone over whether he's actually better than - .1 -.2 -.3 fWAR? His defense/arm alone in LF has been unacceptable, and lack of home runs a killer.
  19. Naylor game at home. GS in 9th 3 run in 11th. 8 total for game. Pretty sure we have blown at least one more six run lead...
  20. When is the last time KW has said anything about the White Sox for public consumption? Does anyone remember? Circumstances?
