  1. Especially Robert in 2019-20. And the tide really shifted on the "we don't even need that Machado guy" pretty quickly. Plus, Machado had long periods of offensive struggle that first year in SD as well. Looking back on that Kopech debut every Sox fan watched...maybe that was the first real gut punch, just as much as trade deadline 2021 or, prior to that, losing Game 3 and Crochet against the A's in the first round.
  2. Don't forget Charles Johnson...
  3. "Going into 2021, the rotation would be Giolito, Wheeler, Kopech (second full season), Cease (second full season), and either Rodon or Dunning. To me, that’s potentially an awesome rotation." Rick Hahn likes this post. Theoretical plans have to count for something...
  4. 2014-15 seems more like 15 years ago with how bad that KC organization has become…especially on the pitching front.
  5. Royals: Steer Brady Singer back on track Singer, the Royals’ first-round Draft pick in 2018, had a breakout 2022 season with a 3.23 ERA across 153 1/3 innings. The start to '23 hasn’t been as smooth. The 26-year-old has an 8.82 ERA entering Thursday’s start against the White Sox, with a 1.60 WHIP. He’s allowed the most runs (33) in baseball, and hitters are crushing his fastball with a .338 average against Singer’s most-used pitch. Royals pitching must take a step forward this season as the club evaluates what they have in their system. That includes seeing other homegrown pitchers improving like Singer did last season. Now it also includes getting Singer back on that same path.-- Anne Rogers mlb.com
  6. That's all fine and good if this was a reggae music site lol. Might be seeing Cannon pitching at the rate things are going... but they probably don't want to lose that extra year of control.
  7. Bring back Matty "Best Hair" Davidson...he could potentially be effective.
  8. 30. Oakland -142 29. CHW -67 28. Miami -54 (but somehow 19-19) 27. KC -53 26. Cincy -36 25. Detroit -34 (17-19) Bonus embarrassment points for the Cardinals having the same 13-25 record as the White Sox. They miss the playoffs about once a decade, lol.
  9. Pasquantino playing the former role of Sal Perez in this series...
  10. First homer of the season. Of course it is.
  11. Any good Massey stories yet? Seems the WBC curse wiped out their other "feel good" local story in Nicky Lopez...
  12. Who could ever possibly have imagined Eloy hurt and Colas struggling?
  13. It's the devil's magic. Waterboy Kathy Bates
  14. They need to go with the cotton uniforms, maybe? Former Sox slugger Danny Tartabull suggests it.
  15. 830 pm dinner reservations...
  16. Well, something like $60 million less of a financial investment...and he was courteous enough to leave when clearly unhappy in the Midwest, saving the Sox money. At least until Hahn then reallocated it to Benintendi.
  17. Someone was excusing it away with a hand injury? Any reports? Past injury in Boston/KC/NY?
  18. Or the rabid dog in To Kill A Mockingbird that Atticus Finch takes down to teach Jem and Scout a poignant lesson.
  19. Hahn SHOULD do the opposite of whatever his first instinct is as well...
  20. You mean Hahn for foisting this mess on everyone.
  21. Does Anderson's actually possess a negative average with RISP?
  22. Where are Tito Polo, Rutherford and Basabe when you need them?
  23. Lynn has to just want off the team any way possible. Similar to Keuchel situation.
  24. Eaton something like 1 for 30plus at bats Bullpen wiped out again Detroit and KC were supposed to be break in schedule, but Tigers and Astros will officially end season soon.
  25. Make that 7.65. Can't release with Martin out. Lizzo Lynn.
