  1. Yeah, we were promised a slightly lesser Manny Ramirez or Miguel Cabrera in terms of hitting impact. That's at least an 875-925 guy in this day and age, but I'd argue 900-950ish.
  2. Instead, White Sox shake the baseball world by signing both his AWOL/opting-out older brother and YOELKIS, and Oscar Colas.
  3. "Sloppy" is really the best you can come up with? You're slipping. Like a certain someone ("from out West"), he evades easily being vulnerable to attack, by being...usually, reasonable/normal/rational/level-headed/mature.
  4. They should have to do the Willie Mays Hayes push-ups on the field for any ball pulled to the same side on the ground...like Wesley Snipes popping up any ball into the air, same guiding principle.
  5. Embittered White Sox fans. Thad Bosley. WDSWF, future Sox GM? Greg, because no advertising impacts parking/souvenir/concessions pricing, indirectly.
  6. THIS. Especially for a team up and coming with high/er expectations than any season since 2013 arguably.
  7. Gee, and it's so clever, because JOSE is, you guessed it, Spanish for Joe/Joseph. (And next we'll have a rousing discussion of immigration and comparisons with US and Cuban health care policy and drug pricing, surely.) As long as he doesn't start quoting from Camp of the Saints in a Game Thread, that's my red line.
  8. Are we really THAT desperate for advertising revenue, Company Man Brooks Boyer? I mean, have some self-respect. How many franchises in baseball would permit THAT? The Mariners? Marlins? Pirates? Royals? Orioles? Tigers?
  9. Nice job by Carlson making the adjustment and pulling his hands in to guide the inside pitch into LF...
  10. Almost played it into an in-between hop but made the recovery...
  11. Gee, WHERE exactly have we heard that for approximately the last 6 months? I wonder...but what's the connection with Jose Abreu, Cuban beisbol player, exactly?
  12. C-Lee/El Caballo...was about the streakiest ever, especially against the Cubbies.
  13. Ummm...unnecessary. And insulting. And...well, the Sox are leading so we don't need a political debate on a Sunday. Alexei and Leury consistently called this, but....Nick Madrigal magically not for doing the same thing with his baserunning?
  14. Dammit, Jimenez, cut down your swing and punch it into RF...don't pull off.
  15. Leury didn't have one this year? That's a bit of a shocker. Who had more RBI's in the AL in the year Albert Belle was on the White Sox...?
  16. Anderson being aggressive and forcing the issue a little bit. BUT, White Sox RISP...?
  17. Yeah, thinking more back to 5-10 games ago...roughly. Robert's starting to show steady signs of emerging from his slump as well.
  18. Reminiscent of Adam LaRoche his first year with the team....except not quite a $73 million guaranteed contract.
  19. Just idiotic for the team to expose themselves to ridicule if things continue to go south...be a bit classier, is that too much to ask?
  20. Moncada falling into a pretty deep slump...right on the heels of Luis Robert and Jimenez going that same negative direction. You can see the frustration just getting under the ball.
  21. White Sox already look a lot more focused again today. Which makes one wonder why they can't do it consistently on a daily basis...that they have to have their backs up against the wall and be forced to fight or flight response, basically.
  22. Well, I know I don't particularly like our best player hitting 7th, rookie or not...he's losing one at-bat every game down there.
  23. Would have been a lot easier to just do it behind the scenes with JR/KW/RH...why use Twitter? Is Jerry Reinsdorf so "out of the day-to-day ops" that he needs to make it even more controversial because it's the nature of social media today to blow things up or out of perspective, to the point where they can't be ignored or someone has to try to interview front office or even Jerry?
