  1. Not even AJ Preller could find the right mix of non core prospects to trade from here…
  2. The whole argument now basically amounts to Vargas (weight/strength gain and added confidence vs. swing change), Colson AZ fix, Davis Martin suddenly a Top 5 mlb starter (Bannister) and Mune (fell into their laps like Abreu). The next tier is Meidroth, Burke, Antonacci and Peters. Venable role in all this?
  3. You guys missed the career of Jesus Pena?
  4. Weird how it's always Landon but usually not Contreras' son...guess that's because late first round/early second looks like his current landing spot.
  5. Dylan Cease's more handsome younger brother?
  6. Yes....but eventually Braden Roch Bonemer #41 pick and Carlson will factor in. Let's just guess 3/5 will likely happen.
  7. Trout has to be traded this season...
  8. https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance AL Central fans all are pretty lukewarm in their reactions...lined up quite nicely 21-24. White Sox probably at a 1.6-1.7 million pace if you correct for weather, summer months and more competitive team. Texas is a scary data point too...already down to 29000 with a WS win two seasons ago in a newer facility. Unless they traded high on Martin Vargas or Mune....their best trade chip is ??????? Fedde Hays Hicks Newcomb Hudson Dominguez Taylor Kay Jacob Gonzalez Korey Lee Leasure Acuna Kelenic Peters Pereira Hill....there's pretty much nothing there, and Taylor/Hudson LIKELY aren't going anywhere. That pushes you into guys like Bergolla Mogollon Jeral Perez and all the tj recovery guys...or basically lottery tickets like Wolkow or Zavala. Cannon has marginal value as well. Sandlin needs to do something at the big league level to increase his value/s. Sox would simply have to either take on additional payroll/bad contacts with B/C prospects attached...or do something crazy like trade Hagen Smith to a team who believes they can fix him, or trade McDougal with all his injury/reliever risk concerns and buy another veteran starter like an Alcantara from MIA. Let's not forget Schultz has a season high of 84 innings pitched and it clearly wasn't last year...so they would be down another starter or forced to destroy the pen in August/September unless they went back to the Crochet plan of 3-4 inning starts down the stretch.
  9. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2024/12/former-red-sox-catching-prospect-reveals-unusual-naked-pre-game-routine.html Love how Sam battled back from a tough finish to the WBC, kept his chin up and kept plugging away until he created an opportunity for himself. Also, thought him being self aware of the catch probability % on a dropped ball recently demonstrates he's really thinking of himself as an outfielder now. Long term, he and Chase Meidroth have a number of similar attributes, hopefully they can both find a way to stick in the starting lineup. The offensive numbers so far are about as much as reasonable Sox fans expected from a rookie with limited AAA repetitions. Grew up with that Pendleton McGee Coleman Clark Herr Ozzie Lonnie...StL team and that horribly scorching turf, but also the pleasant nightly company of Mike Shannon and Jack Buck reaching from Kmox to Geneseo IL to eastern Iowa in the 80s. Came in much better than wmaq out of Chicago in the daytime. Have a 1949 Cards autographed ball, Stan Musial autographed print, as well as Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, etc.

  11. https://www.forbes.com/lists/most-trusted-companies/ Anyone imagine that we wouldn't also eviscerate any of these ten corporations if they won the stadium naming rights? Whole Foods would get torn to shreds lol.
  12. 1. Chicago White Sox: Roch Cholowsky, SS, UCLACholowsky cemented himself as the likely top pick in this draft by hitting .353 with a 1.190 OPS and blasting 23 home runs as a sophomore at UCLA in 2025. He’s followed that up by slashing .338/.463/.707 with 21 home runs this spring. He’s 6'2" and 200 pounds, and has outstanding raw power to mix with good swing decisions—he's walked more than he's struck out in college. He has average-at-best speed, but should stick at shortstop thanks to good actions and instincts, paired with a plus arm. His stranglehold on this spot has weakened this spring, but he's still the likely pick. SI2026 MLB Mock Draft 1.0: Roch Cholowsky, Grady Emerson Ba...Our first stab at projecting the first round of July's draft is led by a pair of shortstops—one who stars for UCLA and another who attends high school in Texas.

  14. Higher OPS than Romo lol?
  15. If you just went by BA, Luis Arraez and Chandler Simpson would be stars. Have to look at fielding/position just as much, if not moreso. Those stats would argue Witt Jr and Andy Pages the two most valuable players right now.
  16. https://nypost.com/2026/05/13/us-news/wesley-edens-blackmail-suspect-bailed-out-by-chinese-foreign-agent/ Bucks owner and daughter in the news a lot recently Over $1 billion a pretty expensive hook up
  17. Fine. Let's see your posts from that first off season after he was acquired saying Sox fans had absolutely nothing to worry about. The biggest argument then was his former prospect status, the Dodgers pedigree and his father's genes
  18. Mason Miller for deVries? Tanner Scott/Snelling?

  20. The same as KLee or Leasure. Busted prospect. First round draft status irrelevant. The only way to increase his value is success at the big league level. That goes through Meidroth Antonacci Hays Teel and Pereira. Heck Hill and Grichuk too.
  21. When did you start calling it a win? The last 2-3 weeks?
  22. Hill isn't even that guy if you look at his career as a whole. Closer to a Peters type...glove first SB guy. Now if they could just get rid of Benintendi, too.
