  1. It seems pretty simple to me. If you can run a failing product but make money, where is the motivation to improve the product? Opposite end, if you run a failing product and aren't making money, that's where the motivation to make changes and run things differently will come from. The White Sox can run a mid organization and make money. The owner is perfectly fine with this approach. Things would be a lot different if they weren't making any money.
  2. Sticking with and rotating through washed veterans instead of trying to find some diamonds in the rough through waivers or other means is so puzzling to me. Just get Thorpe, Iriarte, and Montgomery at some point so we have something exciting to see.
  3. He was hot for a few starts, FIP up to 4.53 now and his last start was brutal against a shitty Cards team. We’ll see what happens, but I agree no way they get a top 100 for him.
  4. This guy wasn’t even around 3rd when Benintendi got the ball and there was zero chance at him
  5. One is a talented baseball player the other is not.
  6. Not much more, the life of a non elite 1B/DH
  7. And to think, if Max Stassi didn’t get hurt Lee would never have gotten this chance.
  8. 10 game difference, so it would be pretty close.
  9. For comparison sake, Martin Maldonado is totally washed. Can't play defense, can't hit. His OPS is .339. He's only at -0.8 WAR.
  10. Combined, they have been worth -2 WAR so far.. Its been 35 games. Benintendi is at -1.2 by himself. Hes not even roster-able, and we are stuck with him until 2028!
  11. The 5th guy is right there with him as well
  12. Sheets has been arguably our best bat this season so far and he has been worth a whopping 0.1 WAR. He is not going to get anywhere close to 2 WAR.
  13. I always assumed his bad season was largely in part to him just going through the motions to get that terrible season over with. This kind of confirms it.
  14. People got way too obsessed with fantasy packages for Cease that was like a top 20 prospect and then some. What they ended up getting was a Top 50 prospect and two more borderline top 100 prospects PLUS a solid controllable reliever who hopefully will be flipped for more prospects in a few months. This is not only an acceptable package, but a pretty damn solid one. After having the knowledge of what has happened so far this season, no way would I have wanted Dylan Cease to be on this team until July.
  15. Fully on board with this. We need a complete flush.
  16. Why not? They’ve done it with guys like Leury and Keuchel and Grifol doesn’t make anywhere close to what those guys were
  17. Getz could f*** up a wet dream
  18. This is the worst baseball team I’ve ever seen in my life.
  19. That would return something in a trade that wasn't just a dump? Fedde, Kopech & Wilson in that order. So not much.
  20. As we saw last year, people will take a chance on talented players from this team even if they aren't performing. Im not too worried about it.
  21. There is a difference between being a hater and calling a spade a spade. The White Sox are pitifully atrocious right now in all facets of the game. They deserve all the criticism and mockery they are getting right now, they are 6-25!!
  22. There are only 30 of these positions available in the world. The number of good managers that would take this job far outweighs the ones who wouldn't. The problem is the man responsible for hiring them to do so.
  23. 6-25, how has Grifol not been fired? This is catastrophic levels of failure, professional baseball teams just aren't this bad.
  24. Hes been pushing my buttons, that's for sure.
