QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) Just be glad the Super Bowl isn't in London. Yet. Oh man, that's going to happen eventually too. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:32 AM) Smart, intelligent people say stupid s*** all the time. Poking fun at a guy for being dumb once doesn't mean you're saying he's an unintelligent person generally. Thank god someone else understands. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:25 AM) Nope, I'm deducing from your own words and drawing conclusions. If I said "I like the color blue and no other colors" and someone said "so you don't like red," I couldn't counter that with "I DIDN'T SAY THAT, NOW DID I?" because I quite clearly implied that I did say that. Again, you said "Richard Sherman is acting like an idiot." Thus, at one point, you felt he was an idiot. An idiot is a stupid person. A stupid person lacks intelligence. Thus, at one point in time, you felt that Richard Sherman lacked intelligence. (turns to judge) Your Honor, I rest my case. Your analogy sucks. You are essentially taking someone saying "Red looks the best in this room" and stretching it to "Red is your favorite color?". That what you are doing here. Has any president ever done anything stupid before? If you think one of them has, then you are saying that US president is in fact stupid and lacks intelligence. Have you ever done something stupid before? If you have, then you in fact are a stupid person and lack intelligence. That is the gist of your ridiculously stupid argument. OH s***, I just called your argument stupid. I shall then deduce that and draw the conclusion that every argument you make is stupid. *Drops the mic -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 03:37 PM) There are a ton of models nowadays, its gotten very confusing. They even have a floor washer one that is cool. My mom has the pet one. I think she is on her 3rd one because the first two kept scratching our wood floors.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:14 AM) uh what do you think that Billy Madison clip implies? Humor; satire. What does the bad-lip reading video imply? That players are constantly speaking nonsensical phrases? -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:13 AM) I'm using the simple power of deduction here. -At one point, you felt he was an idiot -An idiot is a stupid person -A stupid person lacks intelligence I didn't say Richard Sherman is a jerk or a dick, but if you implied that I felt that way, I would have no way of disagreeing because jerk or dick are synonyms of the term douche or douchebag. Oh, so in other words YOU ARE NOT f***ING QUOTING ME. Like I said. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 08:41 AM) I am quoting things you say. That's the exact OPPOSITE of putting words in your mouth. Ok, let me know when you find a quote of me saying Sherman lacks intelligence, or else we can continue to go in circles for no reason. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 12:14 AM) Oswalt five years too late. Santana and Jimenez, 2nd round draft picks, Garza nothing because he was traded in mid-season (and now has a looming PR disaster with the mysterious physical results, just like Balfour). I did not want Santana. Bummer on Jimenez. Had totally forgotten that Garza was not eligible for a pick. He would have been a great pick up for us to trade midseason or next offseason.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 12:32 AM) "I’m totally cheating here in calling this a mock draft when it pretty obviously is not a mock draft. This is a mock draft only in that I put team names in front of my first 2014 big board. This is a mock draft in much the same way that Jonathan Givony at Draft Express puts together his early season pre-lottery mock drafts. This is a mock draft only because mock drafts hold much more mainstream appeal than a straight ranking. Calling this a “2014 MLB Draft Mock Draft” (!) gets you 100x the amount of eyeballs. I hate the idea of “selling out” with a mock draft, but I put a lot of time and thought into this list so I’m good with getting it a little extra attention if I can. So, really, it’s a ranking masquerading as a mock draft. Sneaky, right?" "Draft order was made up by me. If you hate it, you’re kind of missing the point. Here are the players…" Well that's stupid. Baseball drafts on need less than any other sport. Most rankings would end up being nearly the same as a mock draft. EDIT: But I'm also starting to this it's more likely that whoever compiled this mock database is the one who put "Roden", considering they listed "Rondon" as the other name. None of those are correct. And does he explain why he decided to drop the Sox from the 3rd pick to the 9th pick?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 03:28 PM) In a very nice Tom Ford tuxedo...very impressive, CC. How the hell could you pick that out? The bowtie? -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 12:06 AM) http://dcprosportsreport.com/MLBMocks.htm Most mocks have us taking Kolek. I really want him or Turner at this point. Who is Baseball Draft Report and what sport did they think they were drafting for with that mock?

Just got a rejection email from the Cleveland Indians. Guess they dodged a bullet there. My first order as Video Assistant was to trade Yan Gomes and Jason Kipnis to the White Sox for Shingo Takatsu.

Episode 2 of Chozen, hilarious again. Maybe not so much as the pilot, but still great.

I'm actually surprised Johnson is rated so poorly. I expect him to be around #50. Davidson seems fair. Would have expected to see Semien in the 90s, but no big oversight there.

Also, just purchased a bluetooth USB dongle for my car stereo so I can connect my phone to it to play music. Luckily it was only $5.55, so if it doesn't work it's not a big deal.

Had to buy an HDMI switcher for my TV since we just upgraded to all HD cable boxes in our house. Hope this thing works well and doesn't relay a s***ty picture.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:28 PM) Wasn't really that funny. That clip is used way more effectively most of the time. I enjoyed it. -
I can't remember which FA pitchers require a draft pick comp, but I don't want ANY of those guys. The guy I want the most is Jimenez, unless he costs a draft pick. I'd also take a flier on Roy Oswalt on either a minor league deal if he'd take one, or like a $2-3M major league deal.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 08:46 AM) Opinion - a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. Thus, you believe that Sherman is an idiot. That's the entire point of this conversation. You think Sherman is stupid and lacks intelligence. That's why you are calling him an idiot. Just because you continue to condescending repeat things I've never said does not suddenly make it seem like I said those things. You are trying way too hard to try and put words in my mouth, it's perplexing. -
QUOTE (CyAcosta41 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 11:52 PM) Bad? You think he looked bad? Not me. I thought he looked ... "promising." I saw nothing that made me think he was yet another minor league stud with no real major league future. Instead, I saw a promising rookie ... up for his cuppa joe in the Bigs ... running on fumes at the end of a really long season for him. He looked like he had a plan. He competed ... hard. He didn't look overmatched. In fact, to me he looked like a tough SOB who wanted to be in control, and will often be in control once the butterflies are gone and he has that inner confidence that he can have success in this league. I know it's the popular view to view EJ as an innings-eater #4 type. I see him more of a solid #3, with an opportunity to get into that #2 terrain during his best years. In any case, I think his command and his frame gives him a greater likelihood of reaching his ceiling than Hector. And I was a big Hector fan. In the 3 or 4 starts I saw of his, he looked okay. But statistically speaking, he was not very good in those 5 starts. The starts I saw reminded me of Axelrod. I'm sure he will end up being better than that though. It won't be hard to surpass that bar.

I can't believe anyone would buy that he all the sudden would flip a switch from trying to be the biggest s*** talker in football to all the sudden being a really nice guy with a player he himself has said he does not like. Call me crazy, but there ain't a chance in hell that he wasn't trying to be a cockbag with that move. Not a chance. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 11:26 PM) Of course he sounds like it, he is an expert in s*** talking. It was barely 5 seconds after Crabtree's dreams were crushed, that's not the time to go show respect. The two guys obviously dislike each other and talked s*** all game, Sherman made sure he got the final jab in. The final COUPLE jabs. Don't forget he decided to go in to a psychopathic rage during an interview after the game. -
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 11:10 PM) Now add in what the Yankees have to pay MLB for going over the luxury tax level and being a repeat offender doing it. They need to give a portion of that to revenue sharing, and then make it REALLY hurt the Yankees to go over the luxury tax limit.
