Just for giggles... The Tigers have 56 games left. They are 31-25 in their last 56. If they match that, they finish 87-75. The Sox have 58 games left. They are 32-26 in their last 58. If they match that, they finish 84-78. The Twins have 56 games left. They are 33-23 in their last 56. If they match that, they finish 83-79. The Indians have 59 games left. They are 23-36 in their last 59. If they match that, they finish 75-87.

The Sox farm is the worst in the division, and in two-three years will be cellar dwellars if they can't get some young, inexpensive talent in the system. I agree with this. I don't want the Sox to be the Astros or Orioles in a couple years. If they don't watch it, that's what will happen. They should cut bait on some of the tradeable pieces, and yet still try to win. Who knows what some new blood might bring---maybe players that can actually beat the Twins!

That would be pretty wild if Danks got traded to the Yankees and he faced the Sox next Tuesday at the Cell.

Make good baseball deals, and I'm ok with this. I said it in another thread, but I don't think the Sox can get to 85 wins, and that's probably what it will take. Let's make some good deals, try to win, and not mortgage the future.
