  1. Jones will earn $900,000 in 2016, $1.9 million in 2017 and $3.95 million in 2018. The White Sox hold club options for 2019 ($4.65 million) and 2020 ($5.15 million) with a mutual for 2021 ($6 million). If either club option is declined, Jones would receive a $1.25-million buyout.
  2. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Dec 18, 2015 -> 11:04 AM) He negotiated a NTC. They are going to have to make it worth his while for him to waive it. 10/5 guy
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 18, 2015 -> 10:57 AM) i see what you did there I did something? Just sayin', two major injuries in short amount of time. That was a lot of time and effort to come back from those injuries. And that amount of money won't cripple the Sox playroll. Good for him and his career.
  4. Good for him. Dude worked his ass off to come back.
  5. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 17, 2015 -> 04:30 PM) Expect an outfielder. Trade or FA? Don't answer 'yes'.
  6. I think if the Sox had any interest in bringing Alexei back, they would have already worked something out. He's gone.
  7. Frazier on Hot Stove...actually this is Hahn. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/677515071761702912
  8. I like the comments now about spring training and getting off to a good start. Very important. Hopefully they make some changes to spring training prep, and make earlier cuts in March. This team needs to find a way to start to gel before opening day. They did a bad job of that last year.
  9. It's a team you can hope plays well, but let's not pat ourselves on the back too much either. Hope for the best, and pray they don't suck in April and May. That's about it.
  10. Frazier Audio https://twitter.com/MLBNetworkRadio/status/...241763959042049
  11. https://twitter.com/MLBNetworkRadio/status/...219019292868609 Talk to Rick Renteria too.
  12. Spiegel speculating Courtney Hawkins as a 4th outfielder this coming season. Turns off radio...
  13. Chuck Garfien is probably already planning an interview that focuses on his Little League World Series experience.
  14. Also nice that Frazier won't be facing the Sox 19 games with the Royals or Indians. Had to give to get, and what they gave is potentially painful, but not right now.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 11:37 AM) Frazier for those 3 guys seems like a trade proposal we'd make on here and everyone would say the Reds wouldn't do that The Dodgers must really liked that package a helluva lot more than the Reds did. Big gamble for them too comparing what the Dodgers wanted from the Sox and what they gave to the Reds.
  16. It's setting in now...I'm happy with this deal. Trayce and Montas are gambles, but the Sox actually have big league infielders in Lawrie and Frazier now. Anderson and Fulmer still in the system for 2017....fine. Now get an outfielder and move Avi.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 12:40 PM) No one is taking LaRoche. I agree. Just have to hope he bounces back a little. Hopefully he's extremely motivated to contribute. If not, he's gone by mid-June, and they'll eat it...especially if the team is bad.
  18. If you would have asked a week ago who Ken Giles is, I wouldn't have a clue. Good season, but never cared to watch a Phillies highlight. Heard Luhnow this week say he expected Appel to pitch for the Astros in 2016. Guess snot.
  19. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 12:23 AM) Surprised to see Sanchez on so many of the lists seeing as how is/was very young at the time of this thread .Suck as a rookie and I guess you are on your way out . Still could happen . Also funny to see Flowers on so many of the lists . Guess the whole pitch framing hoopla about him hadn't taken hold yet. On one hand I've made my point about the usefullness ( or lack thereof) of pitch framing but I also didn't believe improving catching should be a priority because there are so few good ones and even harder to judge which young ones can stand the test of time . Nonetheless glad to see the Sox made changes at the position without a big investment. Sanchez was hitting .156 when this started, and most were probably thinking Micah would be back up after a while. The roster was this on June 13 (bold are gone as of now): Pitchers: Sale, Samardzija, Quintana, Danks, Rodon Bullpen: Noesi, Ju. Guerra, Petricka, Putnam, Duke, Webb, Robertson Starters: Eaton, Cabrera, Abreu, LaRoche, Garcia, Ramirez, Gillaspie, Flowers, Sanchez Bench: Soto, Shuck, Beckham, Bonifacio 9 are gone, plus Albers who was on the DL at the time--also Jennings on the DL. My 11 picks: Alexei, Gillaspie, Flowers, Sanchez, Beckham, Bonifacio, Soto, Samardzija, Danks, Noesi, Ju. Guerra I got all 9, and need Danks and Sanchez to go.
