  1. There's a reason the great QBs don't throw picks...they don't make the bad decisions Cutler makes.
  2. Well, at least the Panthers are also bad.
  3. That was pass interference.
  4. Wow. I saw that the game was 1-0 Washington at around 6 and didn't think much of it. Then I looked up the score 10 minutes ago and my jaw just kind of dropped. 17 innings now!
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) Both those cities will be around freezing in January/February. Much better than Sochi. Sochi was a pretty bad place for the Winter Olympics, it rarely gets below freezing temps. When I think of Beijing, I don't think of snow and winter sports, I think of pollution.
  6. Looks like you don't even have to have the Winter Olympics in a cold city anymore. I hope more countries back-out and make the IOC scramble to find someone.
  7. Looking at the replay of Young's double...why the hell would you throw him a slider? If you miss with a slider to him, you better miss wide. He's punished them this year. If you go look at Delmon Young's pitch-type value chart, in every good season he's had, he's had a positive value against sliders, which means he's probably not chasing crap sliders in the dirt.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) If a CarGo for Danks + prospect swap happened, I'd be 100% behind that. Assuming the prospects aren't great, I'd take that every time. But I think we all know it ain't happening. Danks at Coors would be a nightmare.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 11:49 AM) he is hurt a lot more than "at times". The most games he has played in one season is 145. This is his career games played 2014 70 games 2013 110 games 2012 135 games 2011 127 games 2010 145 games 2009 89 games 2008 85 games the guy is only 28 years old and has missed a tremendous amount of time to injuries already Plus, he's not that good of a hitter outside of Coors Field. .258/.314/.437 in his career away from Coors. No thanks.
  10. Peavy's pitching the opener against Strasburg. I think his ERA in the playoffs is still over 7.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 02:51 PM) Nothing like a $160 million team trailing by one in the 9th inning of a playoff game and having Herman Perez, Austin Romine, and Eugenio Suarez come to bat. I don't even know who the first and last guys are. I've never even heard of them before today.
  12. Delmon Young is one of the few hitters that I've seen that's bad in the regular season, but is an absolute monster in the post-season. It's so weird.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 3, 2014 -> 01:31 PM) I'm beginning to wonder if Ratliff will be out for the year. I saw an article saying he's practicing again.
  14. Minnesota totally sucking ass killed me yesterday. Jordy only got 1 reception cause they only threw to him 3-4 times. Same with Cobb. Instead of the 35+ points I should have gotten, I got 24.
  15. V-Mart goes deep. The Orioles' mediocre starting rotation is going to hurt them in the end.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 07:10 PM) MotoX has been at 299 with various promotional codes a few different times. I'm talking about the new one. The old one is pretty cheap. I got a 32 GB for $350 a few months back.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 06:58 PM) The new Moto X will probably become price competitive with Nexus 5 off contract after a little while It's $499 off-contract right now. I bet it'll drop to around $400 or maybe even $350 come thanksgiving.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 04:47 PM) Eh...not that interested in getting a 1 yr old phone, unless they drop the price more after the new one comes out. You can get one for about $300 right now. I've seen some good deals on eBay here and there. I'm sure it'll drop to around $250 once the 6 comes out.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 02:13 PM) Chris Boden ‏@CSNBoden 1m1 minute ago CORRECTION: #Bears Allen says he STILL NEEDS to regain 12 of 15 lbs. he lost to pneumonia but confident he'll play Sun. #BearsTalk #BadMath He lost 15 pounds that quickly? Damn.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 01:58 PM) LOL. Again, the Red Sox 3 World Championships disagree with the idea that "sabes" lose, especially when EVERY team uses some form of sabermetrics in today's game. I've never heard of the term "Sabes" before Greg decided to use it.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 11:31 AM) I think I'm going to switch to Tmobile's family plan but only if I can get a non 6 inch nexus. Reason being, its the only phone worth buying out of contract, imo (given its favorable price point to all other phones). With them being willing to give me 208 for my old 4 and buy me out of my sprint contract...I am all in on their family deals. We'd save a lot from my already cheap sprint plan. You can always get a Nexus 5. It's still cheap and works perfectly fine. It should get Android updates for at least one more year. It's looking unlikely that there's going to be a smaller Nexus this year, but no one truly knows yet.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 12:24 PM) He's also going to be just 29 and has a career slugging percentage of .449. Wanting to buy low on him is not a bad idea. Going multiple years is probably not the best idea though. 29 and his body type means maybe 2-3 more productive years.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2014 -> 10:59 AM) No thanks. Hitting still counts. Its something I will tell stat people a million times over. The ability to actually get hits, matters. Again, Butler had a poor year, but horrid is a stretch and I think when you look over his longer span, you'll see a guy that was very productive and is a flat out good hitter. Great, no, but good, yes, and you know what, I'm sick of how many BAD hitters we've had. Adam Dunn made me sick. His lack of power the last two years really concerns me. I can stomach .270 with a .320 OBP, that's acceptable in this day and age. However, the .380 SLG is unacceptable coming from a designated hitter. He can hit for a mediocre average all he wants, but if he's going to put up an ISO barely above .100, that's not going to cut it.
