Yeah that deal has been haunting Preller for years. They've been trying to get rid of Hosmer for a while now. Everyone thought they overpaid when they signed him and it turns out they were right.

Hosmer will probably get boo'd heavily the next time he's playing.

I'm sure there is. Hosmer staying would probably mean Bell isn't in the deal and the Padres take a prospect back. Either way, Hosmer would get killed for this by the fans in San Diego. Maybe to the point where he would have a hard time going out in public. I'm sure the Padres fans already hate the guy.
