QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 09:32 AM) Colin Cowherd chiming in this morning that should the Bears beat GB on Sunday, they would be the worst Super Bowl team ever. He then backed off a bit... And said the 05/06 Bears team might be worse... “You know who Tony Romo is? He’s Aaron Rodgers. He’s Matt Schaub, where fantasy football fans are much bigger fans than I am. Tony Romo is Aaron Rodgers.” – Cowherd, January 8th 2010 That jerkoff said Sanchez was better than Rodgers too, he's just an idiot douchebag and you'll lose brain cells listening to his yapping, STOP IT!!

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 21, 2011 -> 06:16 AM) The penalties in the first Packers game, it's not like those were ticky-tacky penalties. They were for the most part pretty blatant. No, that was because the Bears were lucky.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jan 20, 2011 -> 09:45 AM) Not so sure about that. My parents and my entire extended family was brought up right across from the park, in Bridgeport. We moved when I was young, but I never heard anyone from there call it Cominskey Park, let alone Cominskey Field. I have heard Cominskey Park used, but from what I've experienced and been told, it's a Polish thing because of the large Polish population in Chicago. Either way Cominskey Field is not something any "Sox fan" would say. But anywhoo. I don't doubt he's a Sox fan, if he wasn't, wouldn't it make more sense for him to say he's a Cubs fan, it's not like there isn't any Cubs fans in the South Side.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) Green? Comparing the Blackhawks and hockey to the Bears and football under any circumstance is like comparing Mrs. Roper to my young, sweet Miranda Cosgrove. Who turns 18 this year by the way. So I can no longer be considered a pedophile. JFL, your posts always crack me up...

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 06:25 PM) Comments like this irk me. The Bulls ARE amongst the top 3 in the East. I think you generally overrate the Magic, but you're a fan so it makes sense. I'm not really scared of them at all, especially if/when the Bulls get healthy. The only thing you have on the Bulls is that the Magic whoop their ass once a season by 40+. I don't think that's true...

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) Considering the Packers haven't been behind by more than seven, well, yet this season, I'd say they have a chance. I really think this game will come down to special teams and what Jay Cutler shows up. and they still lost 6 games with that high powered offense and almost didn't make the playoffs. BTW, no one is saying they have no chance, IMO the Bears should be the slight favorites but the Bears have played better all year when they are the underdogs so we'll take it.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) Nobody is going to give the Bears a shot this week. The Packers were the bangwagon jam packed with media people even before the Atlanta game. That combined with the Bears beating a below .500 team will do nothing to change that. It's irrelevant too, virtually nobody picked the Seahawks over the Saints or the Jets over the Patriots either. Goes to show what the so-called experts know...if the Bears do beat the Packers on Sunday (and I think they will), I bet the Bears still won't get no respect from the media. I don't care, I love the Bears proving everyone wrong.

Some Packers fans are living in fantasy land, they probably believe Rodgers torched this Bears D both times this season.

It might be the homer in me but I like our chances against GB...Rodgers, as good as he is, will not have a game like he did against ATL, it's just not possible taking into consideration that the weather will be cold and windy, the field will be crappy (recievers slipping) and our pass rush is really good. It'll be a close defensive game IMO, the lack of a running game for GB will hurt them. 21-17 Bears I'm 6 fer 8 in the playoffs so far, only misses were the Saints/Seahawks and Ravens/Steelers...

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 07:43 AM) The Super Bowl doesn't really get strong ratings overseas though. The networks love quoting that "1 billion people are watching" number because it sounds good, but it's an outright lie, most people overseas who receive the game aren't watching. American Football just isn't that big outside of with Americans. It's big in Canada isn't it, not like hockey of course but they even have a pro league so I bet it gets good ratings...it's kinda big in Mexico too, I've seen it first hand.
