MLB 2021-2 off season thread
Another 2B off the board. Other American League teams making moves to improve. The White Sox aren’t.

MLB 2021-2 off season thread
If the White Sox aren’t careful they’re going to be caught by the Tigers. Detroit seems serious like they expect to contend next year. Didn’t they have a pretty decent record after the all star break last year?

Kendall Graveman agrees to deal w/Sox 3/$24
I don’t know but I hope Canada holds firm on their decision to not let unvaccinated people into their country.

GM Meetings - Front Office Diversity
If KW goes to another team, I will instantly become a fan of that team.

Sox to talk about Semien with Boras
Semien is a top 5 free agent this year. When is the last time the White Sox landed a top 5 free agent? Probably Albert Belle. The White Sox don't operate like that anymore.

Castellanos opts out
I don’t want another DH unless some major trades are made to remake the team.
- Sox give no qualifying offers

Happy Free Agent Day
Re sign Rodon, Leury and Hamilton.

All the Cubans....again?
This post is spot on and speaks of the randomness of baseball. Rosario, Soler and Duvall look like superstars in the playoffs but they were just random players during the regular season. It’s like if Nomar Mazara and Adam Engel would have had a hot streak during last year’s playoffs.

The MLB lockout is lifted!
This makes me never want to spend another dime on the White Sox. I know I will but it’s disgusting.

The MLB lockout is lifted!
Exactly. Sosa and McGwire were on the front page of the USA Today every day during that HR chase. And remember… that was before smart phones.

Padres interview Ozzie for MGR job
I just realized that someone was Bobert Nightengale.

Padres interview Ozzie for MGR job
Someone on Twitter said that the A’s are going to slash payroll even further and go with a low cost bare bones squad next year. I bet they look at Rick Renteria to replace Bob Melvin.

Offseason Thread
I think we gave up on him way too early. Sure he made mistakes and was injured often but I feel like he had a lot more learning and maturing in his future.

Offseason Thread
It seems like the older Steve Stone gets, the more bitter he gets. He dishes out insults on Twitter but then he gets all sensitive when people push back.

Offseason Thread
I agree wholeheartedly. I can’t stand how MLB fans put so much faith in old school ideas. If these people had their way we’d all still be using pay phones and typewriters.

Would you accept Michael Reinsdorf as the new Chairman/Owner
It would be nice to have a new chairman. A new face.

Could Sox have beat Red Sox and Braves?
Good thing we have a hall of fame person as manager who’ll teach these things ?

Could Sox have beat Red Sox and Braves?
Man, watching how good those teams have been in the playoffs, it’s hard to imagine that our White Sox as currently constructed could hang with any of them. It’s like we’re not even in the same league.

Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
Again, I don’t know what y’all are expecting the players to say. They’re asked these questions and do you think they’re going to shit on the manager who’s coming back next year? They won’t do that.

Sox to pick up $16M Kimbrel option, per Nightengale. Then try to trade him.
Hendriks says he doesn’t care what inning he pitches. Why not make him the set up man while Kimbel closes? If Kimbrel finds his groove as closer I bet you could get a haul for him at the trade deadline next year. Then you could slide Hendriks back into the closer role.

Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
This team won’t win under La Russa unless he becomes just a figurehead in the dugout while smarter, younger people run the team in the background.

Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
I wish we could steal Joe Espada from the Astros to be the manager for the White Sox.
