  1. That mini hot streak ruined it and saved his ass.
  2. I wonder who made the decision to fire Rick Renteria. Was it Reinsdorf or Hahn? I always thought that Hahn fired him so he could hire AJ Hinch but Reinsdorf saw an opening and brought in TLR.
  3. Today is supposed to be the day the White Sox announced that Tony La Russa was stepping away from the dugout. That little hot streak last week saved his ass. I wonder how many games into the 2nd half it’ll take before we hear the “Fire Tony” chants again?
  4. He’s wrong and TLR isn’t going anywhere. I thought there might have been a chance he was asked to step away if they kept losing. Not now though. I’m sure JR feels like all of the problems have magically gone away.
  5. Who the fuck wants to see a World Series game in black and white??
  6. I wonder what the Sox could get for Vaughn in a trade?
  7. Okay two positives: 1. if the Sox lose the next two, there’s more of a chance that they pull TLR out of the dugout. 2. If the Sox come back and win this game, that’ll likely be the spark they need to start playing to their potential. That’s all I got.
  8. Does anyone else mute the tv when they do that stupid ass nationwide jingle or is it just me?
  9. Did TLR bench Robert because of that error?

People place a lot of blame on Rick Hahn for this monumental failure of a team. While I admit that he deserves some of the blame, how do we know if he has control over what moves are made or what players are signed? We know he has no say over who the manager is. Honestly, we don’t know how much power Kenny Williams has either. This is all on Jerry Reinsdorf.
  11. I think La Russa resigns if the Sox are swept by Cleveland and Minnesota.

SoxTalk shouldn’t have suffer because this team sucks. That’s squarely on the owner and his hand picked corpse of a manager.
  13. Take Kopech out and put him on the IL until after the all star break before you damage him even more. It’s not worth it since the team isn’t going anywhere anyway.
  14. Everyone is available for the right price.
  15. I'm telling y'all that the rebuild years were way more fun than that we are now seeing. We sucked but at least we had a sense of optimism for the future. I'm not optimistic at all about tis organization right now. I would like them to rip it down to the studs and rebuild again. Rebuild the organization and draft some smart ball players. Hire some coaches who and relate to the players and teach them the nuances of the game. Hire a young manager who will grow with the kids.
  16. He's a good friend of an owner who doesn't really care.

Bernstein once said that Jerry's day to day life is unaffected by the White Sox. He goes out with his buddies and doesn't stress himself with White Sox business. I believe that.

He will move into the front office and and will still have influence over the team - more than Hahn. It's an awful situation.
  19. That sliver of hope makes the front office believe that this team can make it to the World Series. I don't believe that. I'll trade "interesting" games for major changes that'll get them closer to competing for a championship.
  20. I feel like it just prolongs the misery.
  21. In the grand scheme of things, does a win here get the White Sox closer to a World Series?
  22. Just call it. Send everybody home.
