What an embarrassment.

This is a good move. I'm glad my baseball team will be on a sports talk station instead of a new/talk station.

I thought a lot about this earlier. That team on the north side of town have to be thinking about a rebuild, don't they?

Rick Renteria is a finalist for Manager of the Year. I hope he gets another chance to manage a young team and I hope he gets to see them win this time.

Maybe the LaRussa experiment won't last that long. I think the front office would be crazy to hire a young bench coach that will be able to step in and take over the manager role if LaRussa falters somehow. At least that's what I'm clinging to.

I'm bored. Trade Dunning, Cease, Kopech and Lopez for DeGrom. That could be 3/5 of the Mets starting pitching staff for years to come.

I'm betting that Hahn isn't going to be able to pick LaRussa's pitching coach. LaRussa probably has more power than Hahn at this point.

They should have never fired Renteria. This whole thing is a dumpster fire right now. Embarrassing.

This tells me that Stroman was looking forward to joining the White Sox but he won’t do it if LaRussa is hired. Ruined his plans.

I’d rather not have any of these people on the White Sox.

I really don’t want to kill Robert by putting bad outfielders on both sides of him. He already has to cover part of left field because of Eloy. Get a competent right fielder or stick with Mazara and Engel.

I remember it like it was 15 years ago. Seriously I remember being downtown when Uribe made the final out. I was standing outside a bar and when the final out was made, it was like everyone was standing around in stunned disbelief that the White Sox had won the World Series. It took a moment for everybody to sink in I guess.

No this is not possible. They’ve already said he’s not a candidate. It’s not gonna happen. Hang it up, flatscreen.

I’m all for eliminating the shift. Baseball needs more scoring to draw in casual fans. I know old timey baseball purists hate rule changes but they keep the game updated to compete with the NBA and NFL. Casual fans don’t want to see a pitcher’s duel.

People are saying that a deal is basically done with Hinch and they're just waiting to announce it. All of this other chatter is probably just noise.

All of this sounds horrible. I would have rather we stayed with Renteria.

I don't think Hinch is the guy to do that. It's been said that he didn't have control of the clubhouse in Houston.

I think about how a lot of the guys on the roster who've been there for years under Renteria are going to feel about the front office firing their manager and bringing in the new guy's (Keuchel) manager. How is that going to impact the culture? Keuchel wasn't even there a full year and criticized some of the players. Maybe there will be some resentment towards Keuchel and Hinch.

These were my thoughts while watching that game last night. If anything, the Dodgers will become competition for the White Sox to land Hinch. I'd love it if LA got Hinch and we got Roberts.
