  1. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) So far so good for Humber... even though it was against a weakened and depleted Tampa Bay line up - it can't be anything but encouraging. Agreed, even against a depleted Rays team, he pitched six solid innings.
  2. Taking a chance that Castro starts, going with Castro.
  3. I agree with everything that has been said about KW JR, but ironically, he did have a good hitting game last night. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...9,0,65498.story
  4. Early season bad loss, should have won it. Sox will get them tomorrow. Put this one in that Hawk "one of those losses column"
  5. KC has always been a tough place for play for the Sox (at least it seems that way), that early season series in 2006 was ugly. Let's just get 2 out of 3.
  6. What happens with Marquez since he is on waivers? If no one claims him, is he still Sox property and will go to Charlotte or is he a free agent?
  7. Was he out of options or something or just bad? Surprised the Padres would have just released him. He had some potential, let's hope we can fix him. Nice find team!
  8. Lillibridge will be traded by Tuesday, Milledge makes this team.
  9. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 06:33 PM) Totally agreed. Marquez thou - I'm not sure I'd totally write him off yet. I personally haven't seen enough of him yet. Marquez does have some pretty solid spring numbers, but I'm still skeptical about him, I would surmise that his numbers were solid against AAAA players in the spring. I wonder if KW is still working on a deal.
  10. Baseball America and others are really down on Bellamy this year, I hope he gets his act together and the analysis that he might not be as polished as first thought is spot on.
  11. Has anyone heard if any prospects have really excelled this spring? With all of the Peavy discussion at the big club, not much attention has been paid to any of the "blossoming" prospects.
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 01:43 PM) Having this set in a little now, they would be absolutely stupid if they let him pick up a ball for ten days. Just shut him down, and start him over. Humber should start April 9th, and they should prepare him for that. I agree, even if he is ready to go next Thursday, give him the extra time.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) I think they're trying their hardest to trade Teahen, but if they can't (and they probably won't), Milledge will win out over Lillibridge. They can see if Lillibridge clears waivers, and maybe they can keep him without being on the 40-man. If somebody takes him, oh well...it's Brent Lillibridge. Agreed, Milledge is on the team. Lillibridge is only on the team of Teahan is traded or Vizquel gets hurt.
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) When is Jake's next start? Anyone know?? I think tomorrow.
