Wat. Why you do this Padres. -
Carlos Collazo @CarlosACollazo 4m4 minutes ago More More on what @kileymcd reported. Top high school pitcher Ethan Hankins experienced some shoulder tightness in a recent start. He'll get it looked into further to make sure it's nothing major. #mlbdraft
-
Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd 2m2 minutes ago More Multiple sources confirm the top prep pitcher in the country Georgia RHP Ethan Hankins walked off the mound early in this morning’s start with undisclosed injury. #3 prospect in the draft class

Vinnie Cervino @vcervinoPG 44m44 minutes ago The stuff has been very good for @USFBaseball LHP Shane McClanahan through two. Touched a few 98s, T99 while sitting low-mid 90s. CH (84-85) has been a real weapon against RHH, showing + w/ nice down action. Easy 70 arm spd & flashed good looking SL (83-86) too #mlbdraft Vinnie Cervino @vcervinoPG Follow Follow @vcervinoPG McClanahan’s ability to add and subtract has been superb tonight. Worked in the low-90s for most of the inning, then 97-97-98-98-99 to K cleanup hitter Michael Busch. #mlbdraft

Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd USF lefty Shane McClanahan 93-97 mph, touched a 98 and a 100 in the first

Auburn/Longwood about to start if anyone wants to see what Mize is all about. 30 minutes later Singer will be pitching for Florida as well. Most of these games are on WatchESPN if you have an appropriate cable provider.
-
Rolison carving up Winthrop. 8K's through 3.
-
QUOTE (Dunt @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 04:15 PM) Madrigal off to a searing start Triple short of the cycle.
-

-
@CarlosACollazo 2m2 minutes ago More Carlos Collazo Retweeted Oregon State Baseball The Beavers aren't waiting long to start crushing people are they? Oh and top college position player Nick Madrigal is 2-for-2 with a 2B and a HR.

Some draft questions in Law's chat. http://meadowparty.com/blog/2018/02/15/klawchat-2-15-18/
-
Swaggerty eh? Conine too. College position player or two in the top 5 would make me happy. Edit. Singer at 22? That certainly bucks the trend.
-
Here's an Ethan Hankins bomb to start off the day. Maybe he can DH too. https://mobile.twitter.com/CarlosACollazo/s...965068793827328

Law's top 30 draft prospects up. Insider only. http://www.espn.com/blog/keith-law/post/_/...draft-prospects

Anyone else stoked that college baseball starts Friday? Lots of games available via ESPN streaming. Plenty of worthwhile draft prospects to ogle.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 11:31 PM) I'd much rather have Liberatore if we're going with a LHP with probability. No injury concerns as well with a team already projecting a TJS guy (Giolito) and a guy coming off shoulder surgery (Rodon). I don't mind Liberatore, but I'm a bit risk averse with prep pitching. The fact that McClanahan had his TJ freshman year, than came back his sophomore year with even better stuff and posted the numbers he did excites me. I see a bit of Sale in him as well, especially with that build. All things being equal I'd prefer a position player but I'll be following McClanahan closely this season.
-
Gorman is my far too early hope, but if the Sox decide to go pitching, Shane McClanahan is tantalizing. Sounds like the kind of pitcher that would thrive in the Sox system. "The power lefty missed 2016 with TJ surgery after a big velo jump, but he’s back and the fastball taken another step forward, working 94-97 and hitting 99 mph. McClanahan also has an above-average slider and changeup, but fringy command." https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/mlb-draft-r...-2019-and-2020/

Sounds like we get some Kiley draft stuff tomorrow at FanGraphs.

QUOTE (WBWSF @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 03:54 PM) Another year "Mired In Mediocrity". Wait Til Next Year!!!! Yep. By design this time.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 5, 2018 -> 10:15 AM) List https://www.baseballprospectus.com/prospect...r-eloy-jimenez/ (6) Eloy (17) Kopech (40) Hansen (47) Cease (55) Robert (84) Burger (89) Dunning (90) Rutherford Burger eh? Highest publication on him I've seen.

QUOTE (Anderdale @ Feb 4, 2018 -> 01:33 PM) After the improvements collins made at catcher last season, it's laughable law thinks he can't stick behind the plate. He's not the only one that thinks this.
-
QUOTE (WBWSF @ Feb 2, 2018 -> 04:03 PM) Hate to bust everybodys bubble but I talked to Scott Merkin at Soxfest. He claims as long as Machado wants to play shortstop the White Sox as of now have no interest in him. The White Sox like Tim Anderson at shortstop. So unless Machado wants to play 3rd base the White Sox have no interest in signing him to play shortstop.. Lol.

Personal Top 5 wants for the 2018 Draft
DirtySox replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in FutureSox Board
QUOTE (steveno89 @ Feb 1, 2018 -> 09:01 AM) I think Casey Mize is a guy to watch, and I could easily see him going in the top 5 picks with another strong season in the SEC. Agreed fully. There is so much quality pitching at the top of this draft class. Im hoping a college bat or two force the issue and work there way into top 5 consideration though. For me at this early point. 1. Gorman 2. McClanahan 3. Hankins 4. Mize 5. Kelenic Though I'm hoping Turang forces the issue since he plays 5 miles down the road from me.
