Anderson is indeed in the lineup.
  2. Some buzz that Lewis might be in the mix for the 1.1 pick. Also notes the impact of the Delvin Perez failed drug test. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/182564040/dr...picid=167757330
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Didn't know much about Dunn. That's a live arm. Is he expected in the top ten range or someone that could possibly drop? He was initially a late first round guy, but mega-helium. Harness his stuff, and the sky could be the limit. Probably the highest upside of the college arms aside from Puk.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) More specifically, we will have a pinned thread in PHT for Draft Day 1, with the Draft Tracker link and other info in the OP. I recall people getting upset about selections being posted in the draft thread via twitter from reputable sources before they are actually announced on TV/Streams. I believe the ultimate decision was that it was okay to post ahead. Following the same guidelines this year?
  5. Hudson Belinsky ‏@hudsonbelinsky 8m8 minutes ago I'm told by multiple sources now that a team picking in the teens has Delvin Perez off their board. Read why: http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/perez...b-drug-tests-2/
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 06:28 PM) Hopefully it's something like Adderal and he drops to 26. PED it seems. Speculation is he will still go in the 1st round though.
  7. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 04:53 PM) Perez failed a drug test it seems. keithlaw‏ @keithlaw I can only say I was told it wasn't marijuana. Dave Kass‏ @dkass @JonHeyman @keithlaw recreational or performance enhancing
  8. QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 05:08 PM) #10 - Ray[Lotto Scenario] / Collins #26 - Sheffield / Lux / Bryan Reynolds #49 - Speas something like that and i'll be extremely happy. I would be very happy with that. I think Bryan Reynolds is being overlooked. Speas is my favorite of the second tier prep arms as well.
  9. Perez failed a drug test it seems.
  10. Callis article on tough signs, Groome/JUCO, and the possibility that the Braves are looking to cut a deal at 3. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/182564040/dr...picid=151437456
  11. John Manuel ‏@johnmanuelba 8m8 minutes ago I see a lot of questions about the mock draft. Thanks for the interest. Will try to answer on Facebook live shortly after 4 o'clock
  12. Worth noting that he has Groome falling to CLE at 14. Bonus demands and recent talks of JUCO as leverage. Rutherford at 19 because of bonus demands. Also Delvin Perez slipping out of the 1st round entirely.
  13. BA's Mock 5.0 Has Ray going to the Brewers. White Sox with Collins at 10. Lauer at 26, as the Rays are taking Lux at 13. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/mock-...2bTe4CppE36X.97
  14. Will be a new BA mock today. Manuel notes that he has Moniak going number 1.
  15. keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 1h1 hour ago Hottest name I'm hearing right now for the #mlbdraft is Louisville @GoCards catcher Will Smith, .380/.476/.573 this year, 12 K in 191 PA John Manuel ‏@johnmanuelba 11m11 minutes ago @keithlaw Hey, just noticed you moved him up to 59 on your latest 100. Maybe we're light on him! keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 9m9 minutes ago @johnmanuelba i was light on him before! keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 24m24 minutes ago yes or athletic enough to movekeithlaw added, @keithlaw @GoCards Does he profile well enough defensively to stay at catcher?
  16. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 12:13 PM) Anyone have an idea why there are some rumblings the Sox are going to stay away from Collins? Not sure. Came from Callis. Law thinks they are still on him.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) Callis said if the Brewers don't take Ray at 5, he thinks he'll fall to the Sox at 10. Sounds good to me. Also said, Ray or Lux at 10, and a college arm at 26. They are super high on Lux. Sounds like they are worried he will be around at 26.
  18. QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 07:12 AM) Ruling out Groome, Puk, Lewis have no chance of seeing them dropping. We need hitters in our system. I'm partial to bats, but the system needs everything to be quite honest.
  19. No argument against it here.
  20. Justin Dunn is another college arm that has major helium of late. Would be my preferred choice if that Sox go the pitching route at 10. Great fastball, solid secondaries, 4 pitch mix, but some command issues at times. Although not tiny, he's a bit under-sized. Always drawn to guys with that label for some reason.
  21. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Tulane's Jake Rogers is the best defensive catcher in the draft. Carmel's own Cooper Johnson might take offense to that assessment.
  22. 3 hits one run. That's disheartening.
  23. I have this weird feeling that Vandy's Bryan Reynolds is going to be one of those players that falls precipitously in the draft and ends up becoming a nice value pick-up for some team. Boring name, draft-fatigue type, but solid/average tools across the board who could become a solid regular.
