  1. You gotta be kidding.
  2. It would have to include Rodgers, IMO.
  3. "A job to be named later." I laughed out loud, but then I looked up Jed Hoyer. You might have been kidding, but I don't think so. Hoyer worked for Theo in Boston, too. Then he got the San Diego gig and let Theo undress him, then he goes to Chicago and is Theo's GM. Beyond incestuous. You were kidding on the square.
  4. Say "Goodnight", Greg.
  5. That was Kenny's favorite deal, the Berry/Barry trade with LA. They fleeced him, but no one involved had any impact in MLB. It would have embarrassed most GM's, but not Kenny.
  6. That's exactly what I heard from a hard core BoSox fan right after the Sale trade.

    Big Frank was correct.
  8. The other Basabe is not listed on the D-Back's Top 30 list, FWIW.
  9. Back in my day, it would have been amputation time.
  10. Rankings prob made before season started.
  11. Lawyers A-Go-Go.
  12. About as useful as framing stats.
  13. Denver's gift to Chicago.

Hansen's face is on the web page of both W-S and Kanny.
  15. Funny post. Too bad about David, though. When he came into the pros, he went against Dr. J several times, and he was better. I was there. Then the drugs, David went somewhere, Dr. J is in the Hall, and he is revered. David, not so much.
  16. "Flu-Like Symptoms." Whenever I hear this expression, I think back to the late 1970's or early 80's when the Denver Nuggets had a really great basketball player named David Thompson, who unfortunately (and allegedly} ran into a serious drug problem and didn't show up for games from time to time. The Denver front office kept using the expression flu like symptoms as the reason for his absence. Back then the media just accepted it and did not have the balls to challenge the reason. I am not implying anything for Jose, of course.
  17. Same here. It is his second year at Low A, but still those are great numbers he is putting up.
  18. Cuz he couldn't hit.
  19. I like it better now.
  20. Beck has the Tyler Danish disease.... With lefty up, throw a 2 seam fastball on outside corner so it breaks a foot or so outside, making it difficult to hit. Then, after three straight balls, throw a meatball over the plate.
  21. New format sucks.
  22. We all know that Hawkins is terrible and deserves to be released, but why, why was he so good his first year of pro ball? What happened?
  23. Lots of other expenses.
