    Rizzo

Well, it wasn't enough that he screwed up Game 1 defensively. He came back and did it again in game 5. Where will he play next year?
  2. Ever since I read this, I've been squinting as hard as I can.
  3. Torres missed it, and he was charged an error. All I said was that if Rizzo were backing up the play the way every other first baseman does, he picks up the loose ball and there is no advancement.
  4. When a batter hits an obvious double off the wall, the first baseman is supposed to trail the runner to second, in case the runner rounds the bag too far, or, as in this case, the relay gets bobbled. Rizzo was a spectator. He could have covered the fumble, Ohtani does not advance to third, the Sac Fly never happens, Yanks keep the 2-1 lead. I have seen Vaughn in action often, and he makes that play.
  5. He's better than you give him credit for. He doesn't suck. He is what he is, a .250ish hitter with a little pop. Possibly the best hitter on this team. Plus, he is not lazy in the field like Rizzo was last night in the World Freaking Series. Who do you have in mind to replace him?
  6. Salas barely hit .200. De Vries not much better.

    KC Royals

I don't think so. Bobby Witt is so good, he would be a star anywhere.
  8. I still hate giving up Vaughn for nothing, when we have no one ready to step in. This season, Benintendi, Lopez, and Vaughn all got off to horrible starts. They couldn't buy a hit. Add in Maldonado and the tres amigos who all got hurt early again, and they had no chance. Now, if both Benintendi and Vaughn start next season better, they might win a few games and keep things interesting. That's my pipe dream.
  9. They might come back if Sox put Crochet on the market. Hope not.
  10. Pretty serious accusation there.
  11. Yep. LA was not going to waste a roster spot on him, so let's give him to the White Sox. So, when does Getz pull the plug on him? Are they gonna play him for 2-3 months of next season? That'll be fun to watch. A left side infield of Vargus and Amaya?
  12. If he's so fragile, shut him down. And, greed has nothing to do with it.
  13. Crochet's last game of season. Let him pitch a few more hitters.
  14. I'll go with Mighty Mite on this one. Especially Anderson. And LaRussa.
  15. Not true. Historically, it's been hockey players who were least educated.
  16. I think he's referring to locker room toxicity, or its lack.
  17. Why did the Yanks want to get rid of him?
  18. Okay, who is Al Asigen?
  19. At least the Dodger Front Office has not referred to Getz as "My Boy".
  20. Luis Rodriguez. Pitched well for Houston's teams.
