  1. But in all seriousness, the shot at Stoney is the cherry on top. Stoney's a great broadcaster, but whenever he becomes a pundit it's groan worthy.
  2. Beep beep motherfuckers

Idk James, I think that's MLB projectable.
  4. Man, I remember seeing Burdi pitch in High-A last year against the Cyclones. The Rays are baseball's gold standard, so watch Burdi become an all-star closer.
  5. The 2007 White Sox made me incredibly depressed.

@Balta1701 do you have the list handy?
  7. If they're current White Sox: - Robert, especially now that his defense is back. - Colas - Vaughn. I'm content waiting for the power (that he has shown in the past) considering he still has 16 RBIs with this team. - Cease barring a KING'S ransom. - Eloy because you're not getting enough for him in a trade unless he goes on a tear. If it includes the entire system: Cease, Colas, Montgomery, Mena and Ramos.

I mean, what do Terry Francona, Jim Leyland, and Dave Dombrowski have in common?
  9. My second ChatGPT generated post today. Some light editing on my part to change names from COACH and PLAYER. The AI actually picked the players from the past on its own, which is funny. My favorite part of this is the cameo from @Y2Jimmy0 teaching the Sox in the '60s
  10. Did I overdose and suddenly land myself in a Disney Channel Original Movie about baseball?
  11. I would be so sad, but so happy for Tim.

Man, that 2006 squad. If only the pitching didn't implode. And obviously hindsight on Frank being healthy and the dumb spat with KW, but Rowand in center would have made that lineup all the scarier. And then Gio + Anderson could have been used for a pitcher.
  15. I'd say there's a non-zero chance that it'd be Mellody Hobson or Michael Jordan in a 2-for-1 purchase of the Bulls and White Sox (once he sells the Hornets).
  16. Ok, I apparently haven't opened this thread in a minute because this was the first post I saw and I didn't see anyone try it. If the bold ain't the truth.

Wait if we're sending them to a farm upstate, shouldn't we keep them on the White Sox?
  18. Rick Hahn basically has two GM skills: Negotiate early contracts (and this is beginning to wane). Trading his big chips for prospects, but even then, this is based on the Sale, Q, Eaton trades. The flip side is that I keep thinking of the Marlins tear down and if that happened to the Sox, we'd be begging for Eloy, Moncada, Kopech, ReyLo and Gio - flaws and all. We'd also be begging for a big signing to bring all those players together.

Anyone know how Garfein and co. are doing on the White Sox Talk podcast? Last year they were sticking it out well into June and defending a lot of clear issues.
  20. Right now the Sox' only hope is that this is the new Ron jinx thread with Abreu gone.

Runs like Billy, unfortunately also hits like Billy.
  22. I didn't say which direction.
  23. This moves the needle.
