  1. Nick Madrigal roiding up and hitting 600 homers and ruining Norge Vera's perfect game with a walk (only to get picked off) is the dankest timeline.
  2. Inspired by @bmags #BurgerBoys campaign and my desire for #MickerMania, I figure we could all get behind (or weep tears upon) a discussion about who could be the White Sox rookie that will save the season. These arbitrary 10 names were picked using MLB Pipeline's projected arrival timeline (always 100% accurate) + Yolbert Sanchez and Carlos Perez, because lord knows second base and backup catcher are going to have the opportunities available and cause I said so. You may obviously suggest someone else. Gavin Sheets missed the cutoff by 29 at-bats, for those keeping score at home.
  3. The Giants keep claiming and releasing White Sox outfielders named Luis, hoping one day Rick Hahn's phone auto completes the sentence in a horrific manner for White Sox fans.
  4. For a non-us perspective, r/baseball is of the opinion that unless you're the Brewers, your depth sucks.
  5. I mean, after the past two years, you can give people a pass. Maybe whatever issue he was dealing with was unrelated to the pandemic, but it certainly can't be ruled out.
  6. This was a well discussed talking point when Robert signed. It blows absolute chunks, but it was discussed a lot.
  7. They actually renamed Kimbrel as part of the deal. If his ERA is above 4, he goes by Craig Anheuser-Busch. ERA below 3 his name changes to Craig "Miller Lite is the Best." An ERA between those two, he is simply known as Craig Presented by Binny's Beverage Depot
  8. Spumoni is talking about Haseley starting in Charlotte, Micker making the bigs.
  9. Also this would seemingly stick a fork in Micker Mania and that makes me a sad panda.
  10. Really loved Haseley in the draft. He did OK in the majors in 2019 and 2020, but his numbers in the minors and majors in 2021 are uninspired.
  11. Everyone here sleeping on Jimmy Lambert and Tanner Banks ?
  12. Ptatc, I was joking. I read the whole sequence.
  13. Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a TLR quote.
  14. I know I went with it for a small bit, because you can compare things like that for funsies, but Jack is taking it to places unknown, so let me have some fun: Let me explain how the White Sox are actually like the Huns. They don't focus a lot on sustainable infrastructure (the minors), they have firey leaders who say that everyone will hate them, and are a few catastrophic injuries (I figure one death of Attila the Hun = multiple season ending injuries) from losing it all. Sure, they may be on top of the world now, but what about tomorrow?
  15. No no no no. 2011 Bulls = 2021 White Sox, good (in Bulls case, great) team that makes the playoff. Gets stomped by conference/league champ. IN THE OFFSEASON HAS A GLARING WEAKNESS (SG/RF). Bulls addressed, White Sox do not. 2012 Bulls were the best team in the league by a shit ton of conventional and advanced metrics. Then Rose and Noah get hurt, of course they didn't get out of the first without their two best players. The Bulls were primed for an ECF rematch that year. BACK TO THE WHITE SOX Obviously the botched this offseason, but they'll (most likely barring catastrophe) get to the playoffs. Last season we were all banking on Keuchel being the #2 and figured Rodon would be a swingman at best. Weird shit happens. This is still an incredibly talented team that can make big noise this year and would not finish remotely near last place in the AL East.
  16. Keith Bogans will be the RF. Also, this sucks cause if anything, last year's team should have been the 2011 Bulls. RF should have been Rip Hamilton. The 2012 Bulls were the #1 team in the NBA that season and could have won it all.
  17. I dug myself a hole with saying right field. Bellinger for Kimbrel (Dodgers willing), a Meadows trade, Conforto on much less than 100/5 (because at this rate he's clearly not getting that) are all something I'd be more interested in entertaining. Have Vaughn rotate DH/1B/LF.
  18. I mean, this was obvious listening to the White Sox Talk podcast where Merkin says the Sox have in house options with Micker, Sheets, and Engel and then Chuck interviews Micker and Sheets. But then also, this lineup needs a fucking left handed hitter that is a natural right fielder, Tony.
  19. We don't need dueling Andrew Vaughn is hurt threads. Here is the new one:
