  1. Well, yes. If 30 Bill Veeck clowns owned the MLB teams, this would be a real fun league.
  2. What precedent makes you believe they would ever do anything like that?
  3. With Matt Thomas playing 33 minutes, I'll take this game being as close as it was. Bulls need to stock up. Post LeVert, I'm honestly most worried about the 76ers in the playoffs, not the Nets or Bucks. Cavs are now worrisome.
  4. Yeah, I was one of those people that was like "athletes are paid too much!" when I was like, 10. Then when you realize what their bodies go through, the stress, not seeing their families, less privacy, the fact that they are the best in the world at their profession with very limited jobs and short careers, and well fuck. Seems rightfully paid to me, especially in lieu of stuff like this: That doesn't even count stuff like LeBron dragging them to the finals and the revenue that generated.
  5. Oh this would be fucking wild.
  6. My guess is Billy likes DJJ a lot and giving Vuc rest would result in more Good Vuc than Bad Vuc?
  7. Just nuked value of the Portland pick. They're asking for a first + "quality" player. Is Coby + Portland pick enough for Poeltl? Do that plus Brown for Schroeder - do we feel like that's enough?* *Once everyone returns in 5-7 weeks.
  8. Long story short is what we already know: With Ball-Lavine-Caruso-DeRozan-Vuc on the floor, the Bulls are scary. Take that away and it hurts.
  9. Still a little upset they didn't retire his number on Joakim night with all of his teammates, the past stars, etc. in the house.
  10. And we have the lockout Trout drawings, which Trout himself enjoys!
  11. I was about to say, now that the omicron wave passed, NBA is pretty dope.
  12. I wish he slowed down a bit on that last one.
  13. The lack of size hurt this game. Same for DeMar's end of game tunnel vision.

On one hand, the last two episodes have been some of the best Star Wars I've ever seen. On the other hand... Important backstory for the high noon shootout This show needed an extra episode with where it's going due to the detours from the past two weeks, unless next week is two hours of non-stop action.
  15. I feel the need to say that even though I disagree, I respect this opinion. I think he, Ayo and Ball (who is only 2 years older than Ayo) are gonna make a nasty defensive trio for the Bulls in the future as Zach ages.
  16. If the Bulls trade for Schroeder, they're definitely moving Coby for a PF. Kings want a first-rounder for Barnes, who knows if Portland pick is enough.
  17. If you want to go look at last year's NBA thread, I loved Kuminga. Still do. He's shooting worse than Pat did last year and has worse advanced stats. It sounds like you hated the pick from the get go, so of course you're going to look at the negatives and not the positives. The lack of motor is wack though. You don't play defense like he did without a motor. Just cause he's not screaming like Joakim/Taj and timid on offense doesn't mean he doesn't have a motor.
  18. Plus, to add to all the defensive stuff I mentioned, he were his shooting splits: .483/.391/.728. TS% of .562% Not amazing, but here were Zach's as a 19 year old: .422/.341/.842. TS% of .515 I don't expect Pat to turn into a Zach shooter (he's best player in the league if he does), that context is needed since he was playing a lot of SF last year.
  19. God bless the internet.
  20. Williams as the youngest player in the league last year and had this game against the Nets while showing other flashes throughout the season. And in defensive metrics, he had 2.2 defensive win shares and a 0.81 DBPM while drawing the best players on the other team (LeBron, Giannis, etc.) as basically the only defensive player on the team besides Thad Young and, again, the youngest player in the league. Those aren't the end all be all, but Ayo has 0.8 (season isn't done) and -0.1 right now. Ayo' DBPM is 100% being dragged down by being the best defensive player at the moment surrounded by Zach, DeMar and Vuc, but the counter point is Pat was out there with Zach, Coby, and Lauri/Vuc. Ayo's defense is off the charts, so this should tell you what Pat was doing last year, on the charts. Then there's this: Pat doesn't stuff the sheet, but if AKME is holding onto him as tightly as they are, you should trust them.
  21. I mean, I'd 100% take Gallo for not Vaughn or Crochet. But I'm not trading the guy projected to be the first baseman of the future (who can also contribute right now) in exchange for a guy you hope can bounce back out of a Rangers uniform.
  22. We actually copyrighted Drain Duo™ and The Little Magician™ and make $10,000 annual profit on that alone.
  23. .160/.303/.707 at Yankees Stadium, with that right field porch, does not inspire confidence.
  24. The Sun-Times just got bought by WBEZ (Chicago Public Media), which is phenomenal for journalism in Chicago. The Athletic is top tier coverage.
