If the Bulls can get another hardship player, I'd honestly bring back Arci or Dunn. Arci knows the system and is basically just Prototype 3rd String PG. Dunn could bring defense.

The MLB lockout is lifted!
My union and employer just went through two rounds where no deadline was established and no strike needed to happen. CBA negotiations happen all the time without big time drama.

Because then the owners wouldn't make as much money.

Just to clarify, the tweet I linked is from the Executive Director of Content Strategy for the White Sox and Bulls.

Can excuse the donut thing in retrospect when it turned out to be a scheduled tweet with unfortunate timing. That shit stings - stuff like that easily could slip through a crack, especially on a weekend. However, the other stuff, I agree.

I know DeMar sites Vuc as a reason for him being here, but dude needs to justify it with his own production. God damn. Also, Bucks digging the hole:

I think he liked Chicago until all the drama exploded. Then he wasn't hot on the NBA.

Also, 6 rebounds a game doesn't seem like a lot, but it would currently be #2 on the Bulls behind Vuc (11.1) and ahead of Lonzo (5.4). Plus, he's in a situation where he has to compete with a lot of teammates for boards - usually I see Vuc and the entire opposing team fighting for rebounds.

DJJ/Brown/Thomas gets you there salary wise. They just need to justify it with cap relief / their remaining picks to the Kings / whatever third team the Kings want to send the Bulls assets to. I'll be legit shocked if Ibaka isn't traded and bought out.

AK is supposedly holding on tight to Pat, so they have to be big believers in him / don't think the likes of Grant/Barnes are worth it. Which, to be fair, Grant doesn't sound like he's sticking around a team like the Bulls if he's traded here. With Lonzo out, Barnes makes way more sense to slot in with shooting and rebounding + history of being a fourth option.

Lonzo with a small meniscus tear, they're getting further diagnosis. That probably kills any Coby trade proposals - which AKME is supposedly backing off to begin with. Positive outlook: That's about that the easiest/quickest knee tear to come back from depending on the severity. It's also going to force more development time on Coby and Ayo. Negative: This team needs to gel before the playoffs, man. Trade chips are basically DJJ, Troy Brown, second rounders, and the Portland pick.

HOF voting/discussion getting increasingly vitriolic/polarized
I mean dude has a 79 career fWAR, three rings, and an iconic playoff moment in all of baseball history. He's being held out entirely because his post-baseball career has been a trainwreck besides ever since he released Kingdoms of Amalur.

HOF voting/discussion getting increasingly vitriolic/polarized
I mean...Schilling's opinions that definitely doomed him are Islamophobia, transphobia, and saying lynching journalists is awesome (doesn't sit well with the BBWAA, I imagine). We don't even need to delve into his political views after those three. As for shit people in the Hall, yeah, Cap Anson would probably have a hard time getting in now, but he didn't while baseball was still segregated. Him being in is a bigger insult than Pete Rose or Shoeless Joe would be.

HOF voting/discussion getting increasingly vitriolic/polarized
I mean, Ortiz getting in on HOF #1 just kind of blows up the argument that this was ever about steroids. The same test that nabbed Sosa nabbed him...so, might as well let in A-Rod, Manny, Bonds, Sosa and Clemens if steroids are the reason their being held out. If they want to hold them out due to character, whatever, fine. But stop lying to fans and saying its steroids when Minnesota Twins first baseman David Ortiz Scott Rolen should just be in, but you have voters like Nick Canepa who should clearly have their voting rights revoked: The reason it's so vitriolic and politicized is because MLB and the BBWAA have made it such, especially with all of the rules and hoops they've made to deny (or allow) players. The Basketball Hall of Fame "lets" voters look at players' entire careers, but it took Manfred recognizing the Negro Leagues as major leagues for baseball voters to be "allowed" to do that for some players.

Can't wait for Boras to announce that they either agreed to a deal or are done with the Sox by saying they have ceased negotiations.
