  1. This thread is cancerous and ozzfest has no logical basis to any of his arguments other than he wants to complain about the GarPax because he feels the need to b**** about them because as a hindsight revisionist GM, he knows EXACTLY what to do.
  2. If Rick Hahn had balls of steel, he'd have the team move SoxFest to US Cellular Field. Then Cespedes arrives via helicopter and the speakers blasting DJ Khaled's All I Do Is Win. They then announce he has signed forever.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) The top six (Danish at 5 and Guerrero at 6) were pretty unanimous. After that we started to go all over the board. That's an understatement.
  4. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 11:39 AM) Front office rankings in Chicago (in terms of which teams have the best chance to win it all). Which is how a front office should be judged. 1) Blackhawks 2) Cubs 3) Bears 4) White Sox 5) Bulls Lol. Bears should be fifth and Bulls second.
  5. Hey everyone, We all love articles here. Especially with news flying left and right about Cespedes and the rest of MLB, articles get shared here. But please, please, please do not post entire articles in your posts. It puts SoxTalk at risk for theft, because most of these sites rely heavily on clicks for their business purposes. Just remember some rules of thumb: 1) Don't post premium-paid content that is behind paywalls. You can summarize it if you'd like, but not copy and paste it. 2) If you're posting an article, follow a format such as this: Read More: http://www.chicagonow.com/soxnet/2016/01/t...f-sportsvision/ Post a snippet, then give everyone a link to follow. Putting it in quote brackets will help greatly distinguish your own thoughts from the work of others. Thanks everyone for helping keep SoxTalk safe, while simultaneously helping drive traffic to places that provide content we discuss.
  6. While I doubt the Sox are in the Top 10, it's not our place as a public forum to ask for people to post premium-paid content. This puts SoxTalk at risk for stealing content.
  7. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 10:28 PM) Apparently this is Coops FB account however not authenticated: https://www.facebook.com/donny.cooper.10 Friends with Dylan Axelrod, so I can see it.
  8. QUOTE (blackmooncreeping @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 09:18 PM) Who cares about 3 years from now...this sucks, the entire division improving around us...more than us. The Indians improved?
  9. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:50 PM) Justin Upton will get staggering $132.75 million with his 6-year deal with Tigers. https://t.co/22rKTJ6l2a via @usatoday https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/689278544422154240 Holy s***.
  10. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) But hey, we got Todd Frazier & Brett Lawrie the next two years! We're more than good to go! When did Frazier suddenly become something to sneeze at?
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:25 PM) That page is a cesspool of meatball fandom. cesPOOLdes* QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:34 PM) Upton to the Tigers, so you can cross one more team off the list. Ok Rick. We get it, you're a slick poker play. Now time to make a play.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 07:45 PM) I enjoy watching GS destroy the Cavs. They have no idea what to do. But remember, the Cavs revealed the blueprint to beating them in the loss.
  13. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) Since we can't go back in time, we're always closer to the first pitch than the last. I feel oddly religious.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 04:06 PM) The constant pestering probably means nothing to Jerry/KW/Hahn, but it's worth a shot. Come on Mike, you know that's not how this works.
  15. Kyyle will be our starting RF.
  16. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 17, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) I suggest you read this article tony. Here is some evidence. I can provide more evidence if you like. http://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/laker...0223-story.html I hope you know that the long-standing rumor is Kobe wouldn't allow any deal that send Deng to Los Angeles.
  17. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 02:02 AM) This is a quote of his according to a broadcast back during the summer. Do you expect him to s*** talk his own player?
  18. Jo's injury makes me sad.
  19. QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 06:54 PM) Also, you still haven't totally answered the question. All those moves you are upset about is when Rose was healthy, which was 4+ years ago. You bring them up now, in 2016, that they get a "free pass" Since Rose has been in and mostly out of the lineup, what do you suggest the Bulls do to become a much better team? Trade Rose and Snell for DeMarcus Cousins. Duh.
  20. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 06:36 PM) CLE has LeBron, but they sucked before they made a TRADE last year for Mozgof, and also for JR Smith. They made something called a TRADE. Look at Paxson's trade history. It's a total joke. K. Acquired Luol Deng via trade for cash. But mainly, the Eddy Curry trade may be the biggest heist ever. Eddy Curry led to Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Omer Asik, Thabo Sefolosha and Doug McDermott. They dumped Nocioni and Gooden for Brad Miller and John Salmons, who helped lead the team to the greatest playoff series ever. Niko was acquired for basically James Johnson. Deng for cash and picks, which allowed them to avoid the repeater tax and sign Gasol. The only bad trade was Korver for for cash. Aldridge was a gamble but guess what - they traded into that spot and if they had Aldridge, they never get Derrick Rose. If Rose wasn't made of glass, history would look a lot different.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) Tanaka edit- nevermind, this just passed that, but there still may be bigger ones ChavezTalk
  22. For what it's worth Alexei hit .277 with a .325 OBP and 8 homers in the second half. He had shown signs of life after a catastrophic start.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 15, 2016 -> 10:51 PM) I will miss Alexei. Even if he frustrated us, he left it all on the field. Alexei could be frustrating at times, but he gave us everything. And when things were good, Alexei's joy was contagious. I'll always have a soft spot for him as the first MLB player I ever interviewed. I'll miss him and his big smile and wish him the best in San Diego.
  24. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 15, 2016 -> 09:30 PM) I challenge you to go back and see all my predictions: a vast majority were correct. Somebody even gave me credit for that. I've lost thirty houses cause of you.
