I'm beginning to wonder if this organization is far worse than we think. The only consistency is bad. Are the same things taught throughout the farm? They don't seem to have any coaches with a magic wand who can improve a younger players weakness in the farm system. There are too many constant negatives far more than a decade. I'm not a Getz apologists but maybe trying to piece meal a broken system is beyond him. His past is tied into another habitual losing organization. I have no idea if Ishbia is doing extensive research on getting the right people and the right philosophy for winning. Like does he have his own group of private consultants. We can be optimistic about a player here and there in the minors but only one or two in one level isn't gonna cut it if you aren't going to be serious in free agency or rewarding your own players. there are too many teams trying to be budget and will never get success. Then you also have the Mets. For fans of teams that suck competitive has a low bar.

It's a risk but if he were a Sox he never get that but definitely traded. Are we looking at the contract with our budget Sox goggles? It's the Cubs, they can afford a bad contract.

This is very difficult in baseball and so few are good at it. This was all over 10 years too late in this organization. I just don't want them to be like the Brewers and trade away because of salary and be confident of the replacements. Even the best organizations hit and miss. When the miss is in the postseason for not spending even that will dwindle interest. The Brewers and once the Rays were really good for 162 but that's it.

Oh well on the bright side we will get to see a lot of young players and an inexperienced manager. We underestimate the learning curve in MLN and think it is like the NFL or NBA. We will be pronouncing a bad trade, a bust, signing ,nor big league material soon enough. It's our nature. The nice difference is the team will be more watchable. Will wins and losses be more important than watching players develop?

Being the largest market in a small market division and acting like the smallest market in a small market division has become a curse for fans. We do our best to overhype eveything.

I was thinking last night of seeing the D'Backs vs. Mariners until I seen lawn prices were $80. Do ST prices get lower towards the season? I was looking at Sox vs. Royals a week before the season, $30 for the lawn. ' I also wonder if you wont see the guys on the league roster play.

Hard to find a team in both Central that doesn't. The Cards are now a cheapass organization. The test for Detroit is too keep one of the best starters in baseball. There's media and fans who follow the cheapass philosophy as well. No need for a salary cap since it's imaginative. I think the Cubs are only about winning the division because they could easily spend but they don't compared to the coast teams.
