The reality is owners never open their books. So I don't trust them crying poor or claiming wealth.
  2. If I could only hear Peirsal without the mute button.
  3. Have we ran out of WTFs for how this organization is run yet?

Many companies do. They don't drain their cash reserves.

I don't think so. He's a DH. I look at it is future trade pieces Will have that Sox stink on him to ruin the future trade value. I don't see anythi8ng positive and neither would Devers. Do you think those bargain basement veterans want to finish their season here? This is one of baseball's hell.
  6. Is he smart enough to purge stupid from this organization? What we are seeing the handling of younger players is beyond WTF? Brings back memories of the untouchable Scott Ruffcorn. Bring him up to pitch against the Indians despite even veteran pitchers didn't like facing them.
  7. He's not. Neither is Vargas. They need an aircraft carrier as AJ calls it.
  8. Will we ever see one? The youngsters are not that. I'd love for some player they drafted and cruise thru the minors in 3 years.
  9. This should smack against the short sample size fans when the young kids struggle and want to send them back down. Like Judge should do some work in the minors.
  10. If you have the option watch the players on the farm. That's been my only experience watching White Sox baseball. I don't watch Charlotte since some of those lineups look like the Sox a month ago.
  11. This has been that way for quite some time. Fields and Viciedo are examples. Then there are players who are really talented you can do that to but not in this organization.
  12. That would be 75 wins using the Sox yardstick Predicting the future is also a crapshoot. Then there's also the TJ victims that postpones 16mos. Plus it's still a weak farm system only improved by another organization's talent. If they could only solve that.
  13. It's been that way since I've watched baseball.
  14. All for the purpose of trading This article makes me think they are catching up to the rest of the major league teams.
  15. Wasn Was he the one of Foul Territory praising Getz trade deadline last year? AJ had to bring some reality in that. BTW hopefully they avoid the multi team deal. One is guaranteed to get burned. It wont be hard to figure who will get burned. It's always the organization that is bad at scouting, development, and drafting.

Well you can't do the Rays model and survive in the NL.

This reply would be more suited for Reinsdorf

That is also not a given.

More so in scouting and development. Those are the real free agents'. Imagine trying to pull those people away from the consistent winning organizations.

The teams bad at scouting and development follow this formula. You can even convince those fans that it works. I never understood the draft pick envy either. Baseball has a far more larger margin of error than the NFL or NBA. Winning and losing seems to be a habit. The Dodgers seem to have more than their share of injuries yet they win. There are no surrender trades.

That Reinsdorf died. At one time the Sox had untouchable prospects

Fantasy - not sure how you would even think this would be possible
  23. I think it is better labeled as existing. Waiting for them to draft a position player instead of future pitching trade pieces. We are easily impressed with the prospects not raised by the Sox. I'd love for them to draft one that becomes a superstar but that will be a curse if JR are still around because that will be a trade piece.
