The only real solution is some successful drafting. Otherwise it will be a rinse and repeat the other lousy organizations do. Who will be the next pitcher for trade bait.
Then they will sign more veterans who wouldn't make most major league rosters in hopes of deadline trades (that make us so giddy) for no level prospects.
The Sox are not the only ones trapped in this madness.
As for the GM, he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. The former player syndrome and nepotism seems to to have more lack of success. That and acquiring players and exces from consistent losing organizations.
