  1. of course when you get yo-yoed in this organization he probably presses fearing he might get sent down after 3 at bats
  2. I guess that gets you seasons flirting with 100 wins.
  3. The only thing it will do is stop some teams being being a farm system for better teams. But bad habits are hard to break. so it wont work. All it will do is cheapass s%*# organization owners brag about losing 100 and be well under the cap. Lead the way Jerry. Make them all spend a minimum of 120M or get out.
  4. Just watch the Sox somehow play toe to toe with them but still get swept but they will look good at losing.
  5. I just don't see them playing .500 in my lifetime. The Guardians never get real bad, even the Royals ditched the cheapass route, the Twins are cheap ass but somehow end up decent, then there's the Tigers. Imagine of those teams spent money. For the Sox it's a rebuild of the rebuild rebuild. Even during the KW years they would tease us as being a possible postseason team only to end under .500
  6. You have to get lucky and land a star in the draft. You eventually run out of Crochets to trade and even worse when your farm hopefuls get that TJ surgery. No need for a fulltime DH. When an organization is bad for so long this is the failed practice. I don't know how to fix but losing is a habit. It's the same teams every year that are bad.
  7. Often from please read my blog also would be comparable to bullshit.org
  8. I think baseball ran out of naive GMs that even gave up a starting pitcher for a player like Vargas Are we dumbing down to the level of the Sox front office?
  9. Rinse and repeat = suck. Another symptom of trade frenzy is overvaluing players and not considering what exactly is it going to accomplish. How exactly do they benefit from this? When will the rebuild of the rebuild rebuild be complete? The Sox will always be cellars. It's what s%*# teams do and fans buy into it.
  10. Change it to trading deadweight?
  11. Reinsdorf and Getz can't be DFA'd unfortunately. I wouldn't fear a waver claim either,
  12. So few players are good at that.
  13. That article was all about clicks. It borders on fake news.
  14. Yet it is hard for so many GMs to stay put at the deadline. It's always trade just to make a trade. That was Getz last year, To get rid of Kopech you had to undersell Fedde. The Dodger's version of Kopech is another example this organization is toxic.
  15. But Reinsdorf would...........imagine being exposed to the staff under TLR and Grifol.
  16. The only attention they get in media is tabloid stuff. Well there is the trade frenzy but that is always above removing in hopes of someday getting better. For the north side it's about acquiring to get better. There are buyer and there are cellars.
  17. Comparing the Astros to the White Sox...........something is amiss Somehow losing multiple 100 loss seasons becomes instant success. They have to draft the true stud position player that breezes through the minors. 2 would be even better, They will always come up short relying on other teams prospects. I see them losing closer to 90 than winning 90. If by chance they would win 90 they would luck out with enough teams winning over 90. They do have to spend money but I think the biggest problem is having a bad reputation that no free agent or everyday player from a winning organization would desire to play here. I'm not sure the will heal in my lifetime. This is the challenge for Ishba. You have to create an atmosphere for players wanting to be here instead of hoping to get traded. The Sox are not alone in this either The "culture" needs to change. Once again I doubt that will in my lifetime.
  18. Based on the assumption GMs not named Chris Getz are naive.
  19. I make it a point to watch the other team broadcast. You seem to learn a lot more about your own team.
  20. This, Organizations that are consistent at losing make trades to kick the can down the road. The hard part is to identify or acquire good scouting. That's the real free agency.
  21. MLB seems to have no shortage of players with poor fundamentals. There's also an insane amount of catcher's interference.
  22. how would that benefit this team as I am asking out of ignorance lucky I interpret as not as naive as Getz
  23. Make me think of Joe Crede. back issues often end a career in any sport
  24. Never thought that was possible. I get them scoring 1 but a combined shutout makes think that 3 was not possible,
  25. you can ignore yourself? Like I said go easy on yourself
