  1. they also hid the his drinking buddy got a DUI and while in his 70's.
  2. somewhere there's going to be a "please read my blog" author coming up with another rumor that some GM was going to make a great trade for Robert too many hindsight experts habitual losing organizations (and fans) trade players at what they perceive will be peak value for their rebuild of the rebuild rebuild. It never creates consistent winning. It tells fans they can't have nice things. Take some of the best players in the game and if they were on the Sox the above would apply. While the future looks sorta bright the Sox don't have that impact player and who is to say some of those will still be on the team if the good Montgomery makes it to the majors. If PCA were a White Sox he would be shopped around because he is looking for a contract. Despite all of this nonsense I posted JR is a curse like some other owners are. Even with him out of the picture how long will it take for that rebuild of the rebuild rebuild. I don't know if I will exist long enough to know that. I forgot what is was like for the trade frenzy discussions on improving the team on the field instead of making Birmingham better. Do ya think they are like that on the North Side? I don't hate the Cubs but I'm sure jealous of them. Welcome to baseball hell. It has to be beyond miserable for Sox fan- Cub haters. It's baseball hell for veteran and dumpster dive players since their hopes are getting traded to play some meaningful baseball. All we get out of it is ooh we gotta stocked farm - whatever that means.
  3. That's their MO. Even if they have speed they have dumb base runners.
  4. somewhere on the planet some are asking why people are Sox fans
  5. their pen is White Sox bad despite they can put up some points
  6. No shortage of that happening Late June we start to get giddy over trading for prospects only for the same result.
  7. Many teams do this, It works if the organization is worth being part of.

We've conditioned ourselves think the smell of manure is similar to roses.

why trade for those when you successfully draft them
  10. kitekrazy replied to WBWSF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
fulfills our mental illness of trade frenzy brought you by shitty owners who create the small market habitual losing organizations
  11. or when they do the trade frenzy thing getting rid of players that contributed to some of their wins and we will do the wait and see for the rebuild of the rebuild rebuild. The only real solution is some successful drafting. Otherwise it will be a rinse and repeat the other lousy organizations do. Who will be the next pitcher for trade bait. Then they will sign more veterans who wouldn't make most major league rosters in hopes of deadline trades (that make us so giddy) for no level prospects. The Sox are not the only ones trapped in this madness. As for the GM, he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. The former player syndrome and nepotism seems to to have more lack of success. That and acquiring players and exces from consistent losing organizations.

    It's all we got.
  13. Those companies make their money being an ISP. There really is no cutting the cord. You are not buying TV but still pay to stream. I remember as a kid coming home from school and seeing the end of a Cubs game. It wasn't about whether they were good or bad but an identity with a youngster. That was how they built a fanbase. Now everyone has to pay to watch baseball. It's the least popular of the big 3. Soon the NFL will go in that direction. Eventually no one will care except for that gamblers.

Only in a fantasy world.............but it will be interesting. How long will it extend the window on the way to be competitive?
  15. In Oct. for sure. He can face A,AA pitchers and we will believe the false reports of having a great fall.
  16. wouldn't that apply to us as well?
  17. so 3 runs after 2 outs - must be a different team, also scoring late
  18. How did all of the legends survive the game?
  19. They were way in front of the line to sign him. I guess they didn't do enough homework.
  20. You are seeing long term. They need to get lucky drafting a difference maker and not one who is only good every 5 days. Losing is a habit.
  21. who is in his 2nd week of TJ recovery
  22. I guess he forget he is pitching for the Sox and not to them
  23. so what kind of weapon would that take? I don't think there will ever be a real answer
  24. That has been that way for a long time. He values loyalty over performance.
  25. there was a time he attacked one of his players in the locker room. You'll get it. It was when he managed the Reds. It's is a trend in modern day sports where a manager or coach is now the tallest midget. The smart ones know when it's time to quit. The soap opera of the Sosa era was well hidden.
