Abreu will be getting similar deals to what Nelson Cruz 1/13 million would get. Abreu will be a dh sooner rather than later. I know Abreu is a little younger, but his body has taken a beating the past couple years.

We have $60 million off the books next year if you include Abreu and Kimbrel. He makes 10.2 million this year and give him a 3 year extension between 12-15 million per. Would still have plenty of money for Giolito.

I’m staying away from Montas at that price and past knee issues with all the weight he carries. I’m all in on trading for Manaea and signing him to an extension. Fine with Burger or Sheets headlining the deal.

Michael Reinsdorf is on record only wanting to be involved with the Bulls. That was around 5 years ago.

If Reinsdorf would fire Hahn who would he hire? He usually doesn’t go outside the organization. If his son would be involved I might feel more comfortable with what Michael Reinsdorf did with Bulls. Wish we would start doing that with our player development department hiring from top organizations.

Reinsdorf is 86 years old what the hell is he waiting for. I know there are other owners, but things are never going to change until we have new ownership. Sad our window is here and sitting on the sidelines just putting band aids on the roster.

This was always Montgomery's floor, and he was almost picked a few spots ahead of 22; this is a great upside and value pick for a system that really needed it. Kath had some interest in the late 20s and 30s, then the White Sox landed him for what I'm told is about a half million over slot, or roughly the 40th overall bonus slot. Burke is a solid third-round value as a starter with a swing-and-miss heater, Gosswein is a solid, late-rising power lefty who could fit in a few roles, and McDougal was my top riser from the draft combine. He's up to 97 mph with a heavy sinker, a slurve that is over 3000 rpm and a changeup with nice shape -- a real good starting point for an upside projection arm.
