I could see him being a Carlos Quentin stockier type of RF. We could certainly use the power in the OF. Vaughn/Eloy -- Robert -- Burger would be a super-powered OF with DH used for rest.

Right. Probably shouldn't just say Eloy - it's everyone. In April he had a really decent DH in Yermin behind him. Now, with the injuries and other players throughout the lineup playing through injury... he's really pressing. I also think it's very possible that Abreu himself is hurt. I can think of two or three close calls where I thought he might go down for a while and he's played through it. It would not be a surprise to learn that something is nagging him at the plate.

Honest question, is Escobar really an upgrade over Mendick?

Agree with the post above from @soxfan49. I think Ricky sucks, but it's not due to a conspiracy. He just isn't a very good manager. I think he is orders of magnitude worse than Robin with handling the BP honestly.
