QUOTE(ISF @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) Well, I thought we were going to win every series this year. Now that we've lost one, it's clear to me that we will not win another series the rest of the year. Back up the truck.... :rolly It's also clear to me that after 136 posts of negativity against the Sox, if you make 1 positive post, you'll stay that way for the rest of the year.

Today's posts on Willie is not a SS, Dye shouldn't be playing and Timo shouldn't be on the 25 man roster............... 107.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) Sounds like you aren't man enough to handle Chicago food Haha, probably not. Case in point, I had a piece of my friend's spicy Pizza at work last nite. It had the usual things you find on a Supreme like pepperoni and this really hot sauce on it (even he admitted they put way more on that usual). I took one bite of that, and proceeded to skull about 3 to 4 bottles of water in under 2 minutes, trying to get the heat out of my mouth. Too bad I ended up going to the bathroom about every 30 mins thereafter.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) Is Borchard going to make it past the trading deadline as a member of the White Sox? How much more patience can they possibly have with him, especially with Anderson, Sweeney, and Young making a charge towards the majors? Pittsburgh is begging for a power hitting outfielder right now. Doubt they would want Borch, but it's something KW should be looking into right now. But Borch did start last season really slow in April as well and then really picked it up in May and June, I'm sure they'll at least give him until then to turn it around.

Personally I wouldn't have anything with peppers or anything spicy inside of a sandwich, and I'm not even a huge sandwich person anyway. Something with just ham or chicken or beef, with some cheese, lettuce, mayo is probably up my alley.

Damn that really sucks Steff. I kinda know what your going through, my cat about 2 years ago also had a bladder infection and almost died, we're very lucky he's still with us today. My thoughts are with you.

QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) Bobby Jenks and Adkins for Hawkins...? Right now with the way Jenks is throwing in B-Ham I still wouldn't do that deal. Yes LaTroy is a great set - up man, but are we going to get the Chicago version or the Minny version? Plus he's not great in the clubhouse either which Steff pretty much alluded to earlier.

I really gotta get my ass to Chicago one day and try all this food.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) That f***er's going to cost me money... I've got to feed my family A-Rod. Will someone please think of the children. Is this LaTrell Spreewell?

Nice job there Jason and Dan.
-
Nice to see the Aussie get off to a good start, too bad he didn't pick up the win.
-
Jon Adkins would be the only guy I'd be possibly looking at dealing, but then if someone goes down in the pen he'd probably be the 1st guy back up to replace him. We'll need that pitching down the stretch, so unless the Cubs would wow us with a deal, no dice.

Because I don't want to read thru this thread, where was Bradley projected to go before the draft? I've heard various reports saying he was a reach and he was a good pick at that spot. Angelo would have wanted to trade down, and he still probably would have gotten Benson (unless the Cards decide to take him at 8), but because this draft was so even from 5 to 25ish and even later, the offers just weren't good enough. Oh and 2 words. Chris Canty. This guy is easily going to be the steal of the draft if he stays healthy. Book it.

The Vikings success as a team is always going to lie on Daunte Culpepper. If the good version shows up, this team can beat anyone, and it makes them so dangerous on offense with the running game and Daunte scrambling around.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Rockets leads the Mavs 2-0, and they're going HOME. Mavs are in deep s***. T-mac has totally willed the Rockets to two wins. If only he did that against Detroit 2 seasons ago when we were 3-1 up. -

The Cowboys do need a speed receiver. This could be Terry Glenn's last year, so it could be something they'll address in the future, but Terrence Copper looked ok in the short time he played last season, and Patrick Crayton could be a jack of all trades WR if he comes on. But basically when Glenn went down, the Cowboys had no deep threat, so opposition defences could just gang up on Keyshawn and Witten on the line of scrimmage.

Dusty's done it again. They'll run out of pitchers soon.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) Widger>pierz. Don't go there. Great game by Jon, some more clutch hitting when we needed it, and great defense by Uribe and co.
