  2. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) OH MY f***ING GOD CLARETT JUST MADE THE FIRST DAY f***ING RETARDS And thank god, because for some f***ing reason, Bill Parcells was going to take him in the 4th round. Now if we don't end up with a starting FS in the 4th I will be uber pissed.
  3. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) SO NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY BUFFALO TOOK A WR IN ROUND 2 AND A TE IN ROUND 3?!!!!!?!?!?!?!?! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH So Wite, I've been waiting to ask you this question for a year now. Julius Jones, Sean Ryan and Marcus Spears (you could include Drew Henson for a 3rd) OR J.P Losman
  4. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) MAN-LOVE!!! You've already had your turn.

    Damn damn damn

    That's just really sad. RIP.
  6. After 2 days of Holidayin at my friends Holiday House in the Middle of Nowhere, I've jumped to this conclusion. I can't survive without a fix of American Sports for more than 48 hours. :headshake
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 06:39 AM) Now, ChiSoxyGirl, here's your chance. I think you got the wit to match. I think we're on to the start of something. Maybe it's a Minneapolis thing.
  8. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) I don't know much about Crosby, but this could backfire big time. For example, what if the Sox had done this with Caruso after his rookie season? I don't think it will. From all reports he's a stand up guy who's a really hard worker. Over 20 HR's in his 1st season hitting in Oakland, and he hit over .300 in AAA. But there's always the dreaded sophomore slump or second year blues (as Aussies call it) isn't there.
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) Title needs to be fixed. And that it is.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 07:57 AM) Call me crazy, but is this team, this $200 million team, in danger of not being .500, or at the very least, not making the playoffs? The offense will undoubtedly get better, but if you are giving up 7 or 8 runs a game, it will be hard for any offense to win a lot. I doubt it. You know RJ and Mussina will get the job done for you, but there are question marks after that. But they're the Yankees, and they'll turn it around.
  11. COSTANZAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! How many Kelzone's were thrown on the wall after their 1st 10 games I wonder from Ol' Stieny. Might be time to wear Lou Gehrig's pants again.

    Cubs

    QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) After reading the Sox gamethread tonight, the Cubs let that Sisco kid (pun intended) go as Rule V draftee. Ya think they may be regretting that move? Let's see here, last outing against us in 1 inning he struck out Dye, A.J and Rowand and he's only given up 2 runs in 13 1/3 innings. OOPS.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 07:07 AM) Cards have the central on total lockdown. As they should. If they don't win that division, LaRussa should be out of there pronto. But that won't happen, at this rate they can afford to give Pujols some time off in the future with that heel injury of his.
  14. OT: Jason said he would check, but yes ......... it's Jason. Why is Tom Brice on the DL for?
  15. 81MPH fastball. Not good, not good at all. At least Gio continues to rock.
  16. Bautista's got some good power stuff and Allan Baird pretty much stole him from Mr. Angelos for THE Jason Grimsley, but yes as of this moment, he hasn't been too good so far. Let's hope the Sox keep it that way.
  17. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 10:18 AM) I agree with everything there. Who wouldn't seriously?
  18. How much of that is due to Crede and Uribe alone picking it up?
  19. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) qwerty=troll At least he doesn't get banned on BatGirl's site now. The Twins keep moving along though, and once again Terry Ryan did a pretty good job in the off-season (except for the Juan Castro deal). Who would you rather have. Jason Bartlett for about $350,000 or Crisitan Guzman (who some here wanted us to sign) and his sub .325 OBP and bad fielding @ 4 years for 16 million.
  20. Can I just ask, looking at the team now with their record and everything, are you glad Maggilo Ordonez isn't back with this team, if he had not gotten injured? If he did resign with the team, would have been interesting to see what would have happened with him and Ozzie down the line.
  21. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 04:28 AM) yeah why dont we just schedule a worlds series now vs the dodgers :rolly still a lot of games to be played Quite amazing how Paul DePodesta was crucified in the LA media for the moves they made, and look at their record now.
  22. Anyone remember that Ken Rosenthal piece where KW thought he has 5 starters who could all win over 15 games each (and got pretty much shot down by other GM's experts etc.). Maybe, just maybe he wasn't so crazy after all, but I doubt things will keep up the way they are. If we get 2 or 3 over 15 wins, we should definitely take that IMHO.
  23. I see Uribe is back over .300 now. And I want to point this out to Anthrax, just because of the whole reason for not liking the Uribe deal. HOME - .174/.185/.348 AWAY - .346/.367/.462 So much for that theory even though it is still early. Even more reason to believe Uribe could still improve on his numbers looking at those stats.
  24. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 06:30 AM) Here's a better comparison so people defending Rowand so quickly. Scott Pod one good season going into 05. Rowand one good season going into 05. Yet people loved Rowand and thought Scott Pod would blow. I'm just saying that people are all over Rowand a little too easily. And if Pods bad season and Rowand's bad season was flip - flopped, then people feelings on the matter would probably be reversed as well. But then Rowand wouldn't be in the starting lineup and Podsednik would concevieably still be a Brewer. Still Rowand should pick it up, and I think he'll come around, as the slow starter theory has been bandied about before in this thread.
