Carlos has a great attitude. He's a fighter, not a quitter. I'm not worried about him, but I am VERY worried about his arm.

With Berrios on the hill, I'm amazed that we have 4 runs tonight.

They've been in rebuild mode for at least 5 years. They're for real.

Is Ricky the worst manager in White Sox history?
Donaldo replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd say Ricky has those two beat by a WIDE margin. Fregosi was pretty bad too, but that was also during a rebuild. -
How many wins do you expect out of this road trip?

Twins are 15-8 at home this year. -

2 at most. 0-7 is a distinct possibility. The Road Trip from Hell. -
Even when he's "healthy," he's constantly having issues with blisters. I hate like hell to give up on a player with so much talent, but talent isn't the issue. Maybe they could try converting him into a closer because he's just not durable enough to be a starter.

MUST find a way to shake this bad juju... maybe hire an Exorcist or something? -
Big Bad Bobby Jenks wins $5.1 million settlement

I've dealt with teaching hospitals before... NEVER AGAIN. Good for Bobby. ? -
That's my biggest worry. I'm afraid that April was just an aberration, and Anderson (and Moncada) will come back down to Earth sooner rather than later.

About a week after the first Cubs/Sox Interleague series in 1997, I was watching a Cubs game when Harry and Steve began chatting about their first experience at the new Comiskey Park. Harry spoke very highly of the new park, saying how it was a beautiful ballpark and he had a great time. Then Harry ended the conversation by saying "but it's nothing like that old ballpark where EVERYTHING was better." That kinda sounded like a shot at Reinsdorf. IIRC, the Busches fired him because he was drinking a can of Schlitz during a television interview. Other examples of this are Dick Vitale and Hawk Harrelson. I love Hawk, but it was clearly time for him to retire.

He struck out 5 of the 9 batters he faced. Today was the best he has looked in a White Sox uniform.
-
The same can be said for Carson Fulmer.
-
I remember when they pulled the same crap with Kip Wells. Schueler was GM then.
-
Saw him pitch in a ST game against the Cubs... he couldn't complete the inning.
-
He clearly has the talent to be a good one. That's why last year was so frustrating. He was awesome today. However, the home plate umpire DID have a generous strike zone. Hopefully we see more of good Lucas, and no more of bad Lucas.

Cool list, thanks!

Anybody hear Mac and Spiegs together last week? They sounded great together.

Here's another article on Hansen. White Sox pitching prospect Alec Hansen reflects on lost season: 'It just kind of spiraled' 2018 was a physical AND mental struggle for him. Hopefully all's better now. Remember, a person can learn more from failure than they will EVER learn from success.

I keep scratching my head over the Kevan Smith DFA
Donaldo replied to Rankin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He's out of options, so they couldn't just send him to AAA. Maybe they had him penciled in as the de facto #3 catcher stashed away at Charlotte until needed (as he was the past two seasons). Smith and Narvaez are far better than the tandem we've got now. -
Anybody listening to the SCORE this week from Arizona? The commercials advertise from Cubs AND Sox camp. I haven't heard ANY White Sox discussion this week, and every show has been done from Sloan Park.

Here's a recent article about Alec... Hansen enters White Sox spring camp healthy

Wow, De Sousa was a bargain. Adidas coughed up $100,000 to get Romeo Langford to go to Indiana. -
Heard Jason Goff on ESPN 1000 on Friday... filling in for Kap.
