  1. Lmao. This is hilarious, but I love it. Why the hell not If Sox trade Robert, we can see a Kelenic/Pereira/Montgomery outfield by June
  2. Just a fantastic signing. You hope he does hit and could possibly extend him as a key piece of the core. If he flops, you're on the hook for one more year.
  3. I don't need superstars. I think we all knew they weren't gonna be superstars. I just want good consistent baseball players. Depth is key. Sox could have depth. If just ONE of these guys becomes a superstar, it's a massive win with the depth they have accumulated over the last few years. AND this isn't with Roch here. He can be the superstar.
  4. What is Sosa's value? He has no position and is a league average hitter
  5. Petty was pretty good in 2024. Robert and Sosa for Petty, Williamson and the comp pick would be awesome.
  6. I believe the Sox want the Luis Robert era over unfortunately. Which is fine because he can't stay on the field. Sox will miss him defensively, but not much offensively. Petty and a draft pick would be awesome to get.
  7. Sox are interested in CF Jacob Meyers (per McTaggert) and RHP Dustin May (per Garfein)
  8. I want JJ Bleday for RF. Not sure what Robert would fetch in a trade. Relievers I would want are Jakob Junis and Gregory Soto
  9. It's a fine signing. Saw he was hitting 96-98 in Japan as well. Very similar to the Fedde signing. Locks up Martin, Smith and Kay in the rotation. Burke, Cannon, and Thorpe (when is he coming back) and then all the kids in the minors on the way up
  10. Is this dude fucking dumb? My god that was a horrible read.
  11. If anyone doesn't see 2025 as a positive then I don't know what to tell ya. Sox were 31-43 for a .419 winning percentage since July 4th which is the date Colson Montgomery came up and all the young players started playing together I shouldn't have to explain with how well the young guys looked offensively with even more on the way up next year. Shane Smith becoming a mid rotation guy as a rule 5 pick is incredible. Davis Martin is a solid back end guy. Taylor, Leasure, Gonzalez, Vasil (another rule 5 guy) all excelling. The holes are obvious on this team for next year, but this season was definitely a positive development because of who won these games.
  12. So they won't be embarrassed when they let him go for nothing? Lol, is that what you are saying? They will definitely pick up his option. Benintendi is a more crippling contract than Robert.
  13. Thing is the players don't hot dog it. They do trick plays, but when the ball is hit, they run everything out. When I went Saturday night, multiple doubles were hit in the gaps, a HR was hit, pitchers were probably throwing mid 80s. There were plays at the plate, sliding head first. If it wasn't routine or anyone on base (where they would do a trick play most likely), it was a true baseball game.
  14. Can't judge a guy off 50 ABs. Minor league success, so give him run as the 1B for the rest of this season. They have no one else at the position anyway. Vargas should stay at 3B as long as possible
  15. I don't think Elko will be the guy, but he has definitely earned the rest of the season at 1B at the MLB level. Vargas' value ideally would be greater at 3B, so I would love for him to stick there. Think it will depend on Montgomery and how he develops at SS at the MLB level. For me, I want Vargas at 3B, Montgomery at SS and Meidroth at 2B. Figure out 1B and the OF when the time comes
  16. There's an article that Y2Jimmy tweeted out that the Pirates big off season move remains to be seen and that they still plan to add. This could be a spot for Robert as well. Not sure what they would offer though. Would figure Griffin or Johnson would have to be in the deal
  17. Looks like we basically posted at the same time. An Arroyo, Petty + package would be great for Robert and Reds fans seem to agree
  18. I really do think Robert will get a bit more than we are expecting. Sell low, sure, but I still think we can land a great deal for him. Maybe something like Arroyo, Petty and Sirota for Robert would make sense.
  19. I will not be paying $360 a year to watch three bad teams. Looks like twitter and ESPN updates for me
  20. Right. This isn't hard to figure out. Crochet has two years left and Jerry won't pay him. Whereas, Painter (if in deal) would have 6/7 years of control
  21. Teams don't trade top 10/20ish prospects hardly ever now. Take the best possible deal ever. If this were to happen with Painter as a headliner, I would bet there would be a few prospect trades this off season.
  22. Yeah, Painter is really only the pitching headliner that I would be ok with. Painter, Caba, Escobar and a flier would be awesome
  23. Not exactly, but they did mention that Sox would consider a pitcher as a headliner for a Crochet trade if the depth of the trade made sense with the offensive prospects. Painter would certainly fit that bill.
