Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
They still need so much pitching tho and there is so little left.

Guess they’re just dumping Sanchez. Strange.

Why tho? I’d probably prefer Garver to Sanchez. Sure they get out from under Donaldson, but he’s also their 2nd best player. Just seems like they can’t pick a lane.

Twins doing some weird stuff

Sox Sign Vince Velasquez
Fegan said it was.

Gavin Sheets
The guy who does not have a place is named Gavin Sheets.

Gavin Sheets
This. So many on this board are so down on him. Dude is gonna be an elite hitter. Be more patient.

Sox Sign Vince Velasquez
That’s a Pretty good bullpen.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
I wouldn’t do Kopech straight up for Woodruff. Wouldn’t even consider it.

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
LF. Eloy DHs. At the very least they can split time there. Really isn’t complicated
-
Gavin Sheets
Playing Sheets everyday means 1 of 3 things: 1) Sox didn’t sign a real RF. 2) Sox traded Vaughn. 3) Sox are making Vaughn, a former #3 overall pIck, golden spikes winner and legitimate top prospect in the game, a part time player as a 24 year old. You don’t make those decisions based on a 150 PA SS, and even less so based on a postseason HR.

Gavin Sheets
Great depth piece. Fits team needs well. But he’s isn’t a guy I am making AV into a weak side platoon player for. Stash in AAA; he’ll be needed in no time if Sox stupidly plan to play Eloy in LF everyday. Just a matter of time. If Sox don’t sign a RF, run him out there at DH. I still think Brandon Moss is a great comp for him all around.

Sox Sign Vince Velasquez
Could be the case. Hope you’re right. Def like this better if they plan to use him out the pen.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
I give zero fucks about some online trade value website. John Means is a slightly above average SP with 3 years of increasing cost control. AV is a former #3 overall pick with the enormous offensive upside, can play LF or 1B, has 5 years of control, 2 prearb, fits Balts window better. It’s really not that close. But we can agree to disagree - most everyone here is also going to disagree with you. It’s kind of a comical take.

Sox Sign Vince Velasquez
Just sign Conforto. I knew they were never going to invest significantly in a 6th SP. This definitely wouldn’t have been the insurance policy I selected, but oh well. Keuchel is and was always going to make 20 some starts whether you guys like it or not.

They just need 3 more TOR pitchers! Almost there!!

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
They did just extend Buxton, so one would think they’re gonna try to half ass a competitive team. They still need a ton more pitching.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
Assuming you’re referring to Sonny, he’s got a $12m team option for 23.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
Lol, no. Baltimore would do that deal in a millisecond.
-
Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
I was referring to Means. Disagree that Vaughn doesn’t fit this team.

Offseason Part 2 - Lets the Rumors & Action Begin
Trading Vaughn for 3 arb years of a decent SP (career fip around 4.5) would be awful.

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
It’s not just RF tho. It’s a domino effect. If you sign a RF, now playing Eloy at DH regularly becomes more more realistic. That improves OF defense immensely and keeps Eloy healthier. Without signing a RF, we have 3 “OFs” to cover LF, RF and DH and they’re all somewhere between bad and horrible. Not ideal.

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
He didn’t clarify. Just so he can say he was right either way!

Sox sign 2B Josh Harrison (1 yr, 5.5M; club option; 1.5M buyout)
Which frankly this team needs more of.
-
White Sox Sign RP Joe Kelly (2yrs with a club option; $17m)
Again, I’ll see how the next 3 weeks play out. You and others choose to focus on every negative possible. I will wait to see what happens. I’m not afraid to rip this team. But the offseason just restarted. Have a cocktail bro.
