  1. He needs to evolve, maybe start throwing a sinker idk. But I hope he figures it out. While he is not the pitcher he was before the injury, he's not this bad either.
  2. You should all check out Joey Wentz. He's a two way player from Kansas. He's 6'6 210. He has one of the better swings in the draft (L/L) and shown some power potential but he's making some serious noise on the mound. He hasn't allowed an earned run all season and gave up his first hit last night. He can throw up to 95 and his last start he struck out 13 in 7. Should be a good pick in the comp/second round. I don't see him being a first round pick, being a two way player. He's better than Trey Ball at the plate and on the mound. ******* Jason Groome pitches on Saturday.
  3. Watched Midnight Cowboy for the first time last night. It was so good, I ordered the book of Amazon.
  4. I thought Oakland was going to be a .500 team this year, last year they were doomed by a bad bullpen and a terrible defense. I don't like the Astros' pitching, especially their starting staff and the Angels are meh. The Rangers should run away with the division.
  5. I would check the price on Sean Doolittle, he is back after sitting out all of last year with TJ. I think the addition of a power lefty to the pen, that you could pair with Nate Jones would be huge.
  6. QUOTE (Dizzy Sox @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 09:41 PM) I'd take Collins at #10 in a heartbeat. That might be a bit of a reach
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 07:02 AM) Why would you add another bad pitcher to the rotation? It just gives you one less chance at winning each rotation turn. Call up Turner, who's been pitching pretty well. Move Danks to the pen as your long man and Gonzalez takes his spot.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 07:31 PM) The song freedom on beyonces new album is one of the best pop songs I've heard in a while. Kendrick was kind of superfluous on it I love how Beyoncé works with a lot of indie artist. Chairlift, Sleigh Bells, Arca, Boots, Diplo, Switch, and on this album you can add James Blake, Vampire Weekend and Father John Misty to that list.
  9. Was that an early statement win? And I think that Abreu is starting to put it together.

    DC Films

Willem Dafoe was cast as a good guy in Justice League. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-visi...em-dafoe-880889 The Flash movie has begun casting the roles of Iris West, Eobard Thawne and Captain Cold. http://heroichollywood.com/5-characters-ac...ing-flash-film/ Here is an interview with JK Simmons talking about playing Gordon in JL and the Batman films.
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 10:03 PM) Yeah I don't see anyway Jones sticks at SS with his frame but I was saying the same thing about Seager when he was drafted. Seager is the biggest SS ever I believe though. Nolan Jones' has a similar body to Kris Bryant
  12. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 08:33 PM) Jones is so Miami I don't even see him getting to us. Rutherford, another candidate at #7 for Miami, would be welcomed by me at #10 if he gets there. Great bat-to-ball skills from the left side. Hostetler talked about the need for more contact guys and the fact that they won't be afraid to go with high school guys. Both good indicators for a guy like Rutherford. Rutherford screams Miami to me. I agree that the Sox need to prioritize contact more in the amateur scouting both domestic and international. I guess the easy comp on Jones is Corey Seager, I think Jones is a better athlete than Seager and can handle the glove better too. Jones hit tool is very real but if I were to draft him I would put him at third, so he can just focus on the bat.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 02:41 PM) I read an article that seemed legit and said he had a bad hip and bad ankle pain as well and after the concert in Atlanta ODed on painkillers. The fact his current tour was him sitting at a piano and exhibiting his piano skills and not standing much would lend credence to the pain thing, also that he had a glittery cane when he walked on stage. Sad he didn't just go for hip replacement surgery or something. Check out Prince's performance of Let's Go Crazy done impromptu at SNL's 40th anniversary party. it's all over the web today. So cool. I've "enjoyed" watching some performances of Prince and watching some interviews from the past in respect. Purple Rain has got to be one of the best 10 songs of all time and the way he was able to add some guitar solos in the midst of that song is pretty awesome. Seemed like a together guy. One of the rare celebs to mention his faith in God a lot. Not some crazy spirit God but the traditional God. I also love the fact he still lived in Minnesota. As far as I'm concerned that says something. I love Prince. Rest in Peace. p.s. I know adults who have died of flu. If you ever get a serious bout, don't let yourself get dehydrated. Don't be shy about going to emergency. Death is possible from the flu. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/enterta...e-snl/83458354/ Some JW's stay away from some medical treatments or avoid it all together. Maybe that played into his death. His tolerance to pain medication might not have been that high. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) What a story! Prince truly is the reason you had the connection with your wife. You may not have ever struck up a good conversation, who knows? Thank u for the story. I feel sad about Prince today for some reason. Good music just seems to be part of what life is all about - how human beings are able to create such cool stuff can be uplifting. RIP Prince. My partner, not my wife. I meant the first wedding I ever went to.
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 24, 2016 -> 06:33 PM) Certainly a possibility with #27 & #49 picks. Though Hansen was a far better prospect at his height than Beck ever was. What if they ended up with both Puk and Hansen? I think the pick at ten is going to be one of the prep players, I'm hoping for Nolan Jones.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 11:44 PM) I would be, SEC teams are crushing him Haven't been checking out his box scores as of late but the press is still pretty high on him still. I hope the Sox grab him at #26
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 10:35 PM) Dakota Hudson's season has imploded If the Sox drafted him, I wouldn't be upset.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:40 PM) Oh, no this is actually Ladyhawk, a fairly average vancouver indy rock band that had 2 songs (dugout and my old jackknife) that I really liked. Dugout is a great song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladyhawk_(band) I completely misread your post.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) I opened itunes for the first time to try and cancel tidal, found I had added about 6gb of music on it I had forgotten about. Put me on a binge of some choice albums: Killer Mike - pledge allegiance to the grind (vol1) Ladyhawk - s/t The Ponys - turn the lights out Edan - Beauty and the Beat and tons of dj drama mixtapes. That was a fun era. The self titled LadyHawke album is very underrated. My Delirium and Paris is Burning are great songs
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:06 AM) That looks like a blast. It looks like a good time and way better than the original Magnificent Seven. I also guess this is the closest thing that I'm going to get to True Detective this year, since it not due back till 2017
  20. Jose should be sent to Siberia and be forced to work in the freezing cold till his back gives out.
  21. It's true what they say: You can trace most babies and relationships back to Prince in some way.
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 12:16 PM) Sox would be lucky if Perez fell that far. I have him being a top five pick
