  1. The "Eck is doing color on Boston feed. Big Tony LaRussa guy. Said he was great to pitch for. FYI--Eck coined the term "Walk-Off"
  2. To brighten up the sky .........................
  3. Due to lousy weather, the Red Sox will wear bright yellow uniforms this weekend. Hopefully it will not distract the White Sox. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2021/04/boston-red-sox-uniforms-why-are-the-sox-wearing-yellow-and-blue-jerseys-this-weekend.html
  4. I like this lineup in that it still has a power hitter in Roberts in the bottom third. Need production in 3/4 slots as Abreu and Moncada race to get to .200 Fenway will be cold, outfield will be wet but might get a little sun by 1st pitch. Maybe Vaughn should wear his batting helmet in the field.
  5. But their pitching is also better off since they played 4 games against Minny in 3 days going into tonight. But both face a doubleheader Sunday and an 11:00 am on Monday which will be interesting
  6. I think that was a very good catch. His throw was off but it wasn't contested.
  7. The Fenway wall will be fun this weekend. Eloy might have put some dents in it w his body.
  8. Robert has been struggling in the 2 so they moved him to 7 and he had 2 hits. Now you want to move him to the 3. That makes no sense.
  9. Too bad such a great event for him happened under restricted attendance. Hopefully he has some family/friends at the game
  10. Agree. Their offense is on fire but their pitching is suspect. Hopefully we dent that wall all weekend
  11. Agree. Boston has won 9 straight with a lot of questions on their pitching staff so I figure we will end that at least but it would be great to sweep them.
  12. You are getting carried away. He started every game but one. Lamb only had 2 AB so far and he was another LH option. Not sure it was really crazy. But I understand that when a player is this hot, you want to keep putting him in there especially since he does not need a break playing the field. Regardless of starter, I thought Vaughn should have started because he seems to have played sparingly the last week. TLR must still put high emphasis on left vs right against a RH starter which is not true w the stat geeks.
  13. Kopech and Crochet get a decent amount of publicity on this site , as well they should. But Heuer has been a 3rd strong option in that pen as well.
  14. From a bullpen standpoint, the good news is Kopech & Crochet have been pretty dominating. They have been mostly pitching in 6-7th but they may need to move back some . Today w Hendriks failure, Crochet did get the late call. But one of them may fill in as be a closer for a while until Hendriks rights the ship.
  15. Maybe the stat guru in the FO knew Leury is hitting over .300 this year when leading off and Madrigal .000..........................................
  16. Mercedes was new and he got a start and how has that worked so far?
  17. LaRussa also said he wants to get everyone in a game this week. After breaking camp with a few days off, it makes sense everyone gets into a game especially w it being a legit spot. Role players like Vaughn and Collins need to produce so it is hard to get them out of the lineup, regardless of who the opposing pitcher is.
  18. Where is the pitching coach???? Fire him now. What the heck is Duncan doing? Analytics coordinator!!! Give me a break. Fire him and get his father back. In fairness this was an afternoon start so Tony missed his siesta nap ( or he took it during the 6th). Foster would look good in Charlotte blue.
  19. Which is a smart thing to do. Mercedes is going to take AB's away from Vaughn and even some from Collins while he is tearing the cover off.
  20. Hopefully we are saying this after at least 4-5 starts. But I think many ML teams are going into the season hoping their 4/5 are productive. Maybe 4-5 won't be a good measure especially if April is a cold, lousy weather month in the north half of the league
  21. Agree. All 90 MiLB clubs across Double-A, High-A and Low-A are scheduled to launch their 2021 campaigns on Tuesday, May 4. The Triple-A regular season will total 142 games, while Double-A, High-A and Low-A leagues will include 120 regular season contests.
  22. The 2021 minor league season ends on 9/21. However the AAA season starts a month late so the AAA teams will only play 142 games
