  1. I look forward to the day Pollock is no longer on this team. It is amazing how many previously good players come to the Sox for their last, brutal gasp.
  2. Man, this sport is cold. Cleveland has a lot of prospects coming up. Their 40 man is going to be tough to manage. Maybe they're getting a head start.
  3. Another HR for Romy. He’s gonna hit 1 a day until they promote him.
  4. Chronic illnesses to start year, had his tonsils removed at the All Star break. https://soxmachine.com/futuresox/after-a-quiet-trade-deadline-white-sox-only-have-charlotte-for-help-now/
  5. Still, Graveman turns the line up over. Semien due up 4th, Seager 5th. Puts a lot of pressure on Hendricks.
  6. Another HR for Romy Gonzalez. Probably too good for ACL. He's missed so much time this year, he may need a lot of rehab assignments before he's ready for Charlotte. HR for Cameron Butler, who has been a lot better lately.
  7. Have fun. I live in NYC, maybe I'll check out tomorrow's game.
  8. Perez ended up 3-4 HR, 2b, 1b and Sosa went 2-3 with a HR and a walk. Good night for the Venezuelans.
  9. To be fair, they traded for Alonso. Took a bad contract off Cleveland’s hands.
  10. Loidel Chapelli sure hits a lot of triples.
  11. I would add Mieses to that list, but as has already been pointed out, there's so much filler on the Sox 40 man, I don't think this should be their primary concern. Off the top of my head, Abreu, Cueto, Velasquez, Engel, and Harrison are all free agents at the end of the year. Aybar, Crick, Foster, Severino, Sousa, Stiever, McGuire, Romy Gonzalez, and Haseley are all cuttable. That's 12 guys. Our farm system isn't good enough to need to protect 12 guys.
  12. He has been heating up again lately. Good to see.
  13. How much is too much to give up to increase the marginal chance this garbage team wins 1 playoff series? I wouldn’t give up much and they don’t have much. This regime’s long history of prospect overpays (Semien, Tatis, etc) has me very wary about what they will give up. And their poor acquisition history has me wary of who they will get (Shields, Swisher, Smardzjia, Yonder, Cesar, etc.). Hence, I am rooting for them to stand pat.
  14. Pilkington is the perfect example of our FO not understanding mlb trends (or being extremely late adopters). With 2020 interrupting pitching development, non-impact mlb-ready SP rose in value. Teams like Minny & Cle took advantage last year, the Sox decided to focus on it in the draft.
  15. If the division were better, they would sell. The team is “mired in mediocrity.” 83-79 in their last 162. No reason to expect any kind of winning streak, but 2 good weeks could give them the division. They certainly are no fun to watch at home.
  16. Cub manager keeping that guy out there is a menace.
  17. Cub fans tweeting they should get Colas for Happ. I get he's got an extra year of control, but Happ doesn't have Benintendi's track record. They're getting a package like this for him.
  18. Hey, any chance our AA hitting coach should be the mlb hitting coach?
  19. Another Colas HR. That’s 5. He had 7 at W-S.
  20. And he hit his first triple!
  21. I respect you, and you know way more about the Sox minor leagues than I ever will, however, this is not entirely correct. Keith Law wrote a piece when the trade was rumored in which scouts from other organizations opined that, were he draft eligible, Tatis Jr. would be 1-1 and they compared him to A-Rod and Griffey. Somebody knew he was going to be good. And if the Sox didn't, well, that's even more damning.
  22. Anyone who has sources inside the organization: please tell them about the existence of the IL.
