  1. These lists look pretty good to me. I tend to think like @Boopa1219 and leave off guys currently in the majors, so punting on where the hell you'd put Colson, my top 20 would look something like this: *Noah Schultz, lhp (AAA) Caleb Bonemer, ss (A) *Hagen Smith, lhp (AA) #Braden Montgomery, of (A+) Tanner McDougal, rhp (AA)& Javier Mogollon, 2b(A) *George Wolkow, of (A) *Sam Antonacci, inf (A+) Jeral Perez, 2b/ss (A+) *Christian Oppor, lhp (A+) Luis Reyes, rhp (A) *Samuel Zavala, of (A+)& *Jacob Gonzalez, ss-2b (AA) Bryan Ramos, 3b (AAA)@ *William Bergolla, 2b-ss (AA) Mason Adams, rhp (IL)& Mathias LaCombe, rhp (ACL) *Ronny Hernandez, c (A) *Ky Bush, lhp (IL - 60) Wikelman Gonzalez, rhp (AAA)@% @ indicates of 40 man. & indicates needs to be added to 40 man for Rule 5. % indicates reliever. I tend to penalize injured guys and relievers quite a bit. Love Batista, but I have him just out of the top 20. I could see flipping him and Wikelman. I am probably high man on Antonacci, but if anything, I'm afraid he is too low. I really really like that guy. I would place whoever they draft at 1-10 #5.
  2. I would dump Noda and have Vargas and Sosa cover first base. Vinnie Capra can grab some starts at short against tough righties. Noda is useless.
  3. I am really tired of watching Noda. I hope he is the DFA for Colson.
  4. Not sure Vinnie Capra should count as a major league strikeout.
  5. There’s room for everyone, since a lot of people jumped off at the last stop.
  6. Personally, I think he has taken so few steps forward, who knows whose fault that is, that he was no longer a top 30 guy. As a reliever who can’t throw strikes, he was trending towards Org/NP level for me.
  7. Sox were already at 39. Anyone know why they’re clearing space?
  8. Good for him. He needed a change of scenery
  9. What would you consider 1.50 on the dollar? All prospects can fail, so wouldn't you have to get at least two viable guys? A bird in the hand and all that.
  10. He's prone to getting hit because he expands the zone down and in. Everyone tries to keep him from extending his arms and he goes fishing on a ton of breaking balls waaay out of the zone. He'll get hit less if he stops swinging at those cuz they'll have to change their approach to him. Also, James has alluded to the fact that the balls in Charlotte may be dusty, so getting him outta there would probably help.
  11. I mean, no one's untouchable. Sure if they want to give up a real hitter like Emerson, Montes, or Celesten... Sure I guess. Otherwise? Why are we churning through guys with 5 years of control? You start doing that this rebuild is going to get it's own 125 year patch.
  12. If Colson comes up soon, I would dump Noda, who does not look good. Capra gives you a righty to keep Colson from facing the Chris Sales and Garrett Crochets of the world. Rojas gives you steady D and veteran leadership. Now, if you wanna keep both Colson and Baldwin when Robert comes back, I can see either Capra or Rojas going. But that may be very short term. Maybe they’ll wait until after the deadline to do anything interesting.
  13. Love the mock. Lotta great info. Would love Carlson + Gamble. On small typo: you write that Marek Houston struggled in SEC play. Pretty sure you meant ACC play. Keep up the great work!
  14. Latest BA mock is the nightmare scenario in which all the college pitching slides. Willits, Carlson, and Parker all go top 8, leaving the Sox with Jamie Arnold. In that scenario, I honestly think they take Steele Hall, but who knows? Sox gotta get hitters.
  15. Another Colson HR.
  16. Vasil coming in now. So, this statement is not true.
  17. Venable manages like these are all ST games. Why is Gilbert pitching in a game with the lead in the 8th inning?
  18. HR Colson. 98 mph fastball turns it around at 111.
  19. Another good outing for McDougal so far. He had control problems early with 2bb and a HBP in the first 2 innings, but has been turning it on. 5IP 5H (some of them cheap) 0R 2H 2bb 8K.
  20. Cannon has a mixture of medium control and medium stuff that makes it hard for him to be an above average pitcher. His command has to improve for him to survive.
  21. No one. They are waiting until Tuesday. I bet it’s Baldwin, but who knows?
  22. Colson 3-5 single, double, triple. Charlotte is bashing them, so a good night for everyone. I don’t know what to think right now. In all probability he wouldn’t be worse than Noda or Rojas, but that doesn’t mean they should promote him.
  23. Another hit for Colson. HR Lipcius, that’s 11 for him. Charlotte can really hit. So far that has not really translated when guys get called up.
  24. Nick Kurtz is doing a pretty darn good job of making the jump. 12 HR and an .840OPS. Does not have the aggressive approach that Cags will have to tame.
  25. Smith is done. 1 more K, bb, bloop single. Runner CS. Leaves with 2 out, runner on 1st. Stuff looked really good.
