  1. I'd prefer Heyward. Don't care that it's more money. He won't be around after year 4/5 around anyway.
  2. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) Already nerded it out and tried him out in the Show. When he dips the bat forward I don't think it's that obnoxious as it is in real life. It's kind of annoying to play with haha
  3. Nice move. Still need more work though.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 08:07 PM) Is Shuck involved or not? If he is, I'm pretty bummed. Nah. 4th outfielder. We have Thompson for that.
  5. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 07:38 PM) There is a myriad of threads discussing infield options. Not sure why we needed another. This
  6. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) that works for me. Oh God...after last night's trade I'm picturing Quintana for Trea Turner and like 4-5 other guys (mix of position players and pitchers).
  7. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 06:44 PM) If the Sox were willing to move Tim Anderson they could probably do better than Frazier. I know the win now crowd is ready but I couldn't trade Anderson for two years of Todd Frazier when you have other glaring holes on the roster. Agree. For me he has to go for at least a guy with 3 years of control.
  8. Thinking he just means in general since its the last night.
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) Last day of the meetings is tomorrow, correct? If so, is there usually any action on the last day? Not really. Most GMs leave after Rule 5 draft but something can still go down late tonight. Night is still young and anything is possible with GMs staying under the same roof.
  10. To be fair, the ones leaking the Lawrie news are their beat writers so if not for them, we would know nothing of this deal.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 05:29 PM) Chuck Garfien ‏@ChuckGarfien 20s21 seconds ago Hahn to Sox fans: "I’m as impatient as any @Whatever may be on Twitter so I get it, but we're not going to do anything to calm the masses." With that I say nothing gets done this week.
  12. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:41 PM) Dont be stupid Hahn, take your time and if it doesnt fit dont let KW convince you it does. I like this. I don't think many other teams will get involved. If we get him, it's at our price. They seem motivated to move him and free up the little money.
  13. QUOTE (QuickJones81 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:27 PM) It was eventful. Mags leaves, Carlos Lee traded for Pods, Iguchi, AJ, Dye I think too Very active indeed.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) David Murphy? Think he means Daniel
  15. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:54 PM) Yeah, it auto corrected lol. Lol in figured but you know...had to verify. If the Sox were trading for Mozart, they'd be the only team in the mlb with a zombie.
  16. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:45 PM) If it would take Anderson, Johnson+, I would ask for Frazier and Cozart. Then sign Upton You mean Cozart?
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:29 PM) This discussion started during the season though... Still he's gotta ask again. Considering there is no urgency to move Frazier. They can hold onto him and move him in July.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:19 PM) If Frazier were under team control for 3 years, maybe, but not for just 2. Every discussion has to start somewhere. Their GM wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't ask.
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 01:19 PM) They picked up Jed Lowrie to play 3B I think they picked him up to play 2B. Valencia at third.
  20. Just spent the last hour and a half taking an exam. Really thought something would have happened in that time.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 10:45 AM) I'm going to need a lot of Bulls playoff basketball if we go that route. Months and months of it Seriously the Hawks and Bulls need to play until late June and the Bears would have to have an exciting offseason if that's the case. Granted I'm not as in to those sports as I am baseball but I'm just saying for the typical sports fan who is a Sox fan but also like those teams.
  22. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:54 AM) I am on board with this plan, a lot of posters seem to think of only the extremes, either a complete tear-down or "going for it", but I like the idea of a one-year rebuild while looking to 2017 and 2018. And even if we make 2016 a rebuilding year there's still an outside shot to contend if we catch a few 2008-like breaks. Atlanta is doing a pretty solid rebuild that only started a year ago but they've basically traded everyone. They have to have the deepest farm right now (and they still have guys they can trade over the next 7 months).
  23. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Susan SlusserVerified account ‏@susanslusser @MrJoeSiler not 100 percent complete yet but sounds like the important stuff agreed upon. Still ya never know. Important stuff?
  24. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:01 AM) Moving LaRoche is inevitable to get Upton. They could try to back load it. Pay him less in 16 until Danks and LaRoche are gone.
  25. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 08:50 AM) I keep reading from A's fans that Beane is going to "fleece" Hahn again like with Shark. My belief is that is not the case, I would take the first round draft pick over any of the four players that the Sox gave up. Thoughts? I've read comments from A's fans thinking they won't get anyone for him.
