  1. Last of Us part 2 announced. So stoked.
  2. QUOTE (ron883 @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 01:02 PM) I'm just curious as to why anybody thinks gurriels bat would stick at first? He didn't exactly light the world up. You aren't winning with that bat at first and with that pitching. They're paying him and running out of positions for him. We just gotta hope Houston still adds another bat for 1B like Edwin.
  3. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 12:59 PM) Gurriel can also play 3B I know but as the way things stand right now, I think he's slated for first.
  4. Rabbit tweeted that he heard Astros wanted Encarnacion plus Beltran or Holliday so they should still be in play for Edwin.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) Why? If Beltran DHs, Gurriel likely plays first leaving Bregman 3B.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Beltran is a half assed move. They should have ponied up for EE. I wouldn't be shocked if they still signed EE honestly.
  7. I guess in theory, they can use Beltran at DH and play Gurriel and Bregman between 3B and LF. Seems like a waste to have Gattis on the bench though if Beltran were to DH.
  8. QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Dec 3, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) Cubs non tender 3B/Christian Villanueva. Would like the Sox to take a chance on him. Doubt he gets through. Had no where to play and broke his leg last year. What do you mean "gets through?" If he's non-tendered, he's just a feee agent I thought.

  10. Nice! Save some money from what was projected.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 02:03 PM) Why do so many think Eaton would cause problems? My God, he's been fine and been on bad teams his entire career. Oh my God, a player who actually wants to win. How dare he. . Lol right? I don't get why people think he's going to lash out. Completely different scenario to the whole LaRoche fiasco.
  12. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) My word is soft right now haha. But the the one thing I would say that isn't really talked about much is that I'd expect Dan Jennings to go this offseason. Supposedly garnering a lot of interest. This makes sense to me. Thanks.
  13. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 01:09 PM) This is based on what exactly? Hey rabbit, I feel like if you did you would tell us but do you have any nuggets for us?
  14. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) Mention in Heyman article that Eaton is a Washington option. Easy to make that connection since they are looking at another CF.
  15. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Not a bad buy low move for Atlanta on Jackson, but a player who is hitting around .200 in single A with a ton of strikeouts chances of sniffing the majors are hugely in doubt. I see this more as Seattle dumping Jackson for whatever value they can get before he isn't worth anything Still has a lot of time to turn it around but you're probably right.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 09:59 AM) Yes I'm sure they are really "sleeping" on people, nobody has known they are shopping Sale QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:58 AM) I laughed when I saw that as well. Me too. Its been speculated they could rebuild for months lol
  17. So far just Bryan Holady of the Red Sox.
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:30 AM) I just hate getting rid of a very good defensive corner OFer. "But we still have Melky!" -Hawk probably.
  19. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) Puig's value is in the toilet right now. I laughed at the talk of him being a centerpiece in a Sale trade. I am not against a fire Sale (no pun intended), but would prefer to move pieces like Robertson, Cabrera, Frazier first before tading longer term assets Don't think anyone proposed deals where he is the center piece. Just because a guy is listed first in proposals doesn't mean hes the main piece
  20. I prefer to keep Eaton but won't complain if we receive a great return for him.
  21. Why would we want a declining Andrew McCutchen? He's a corner outtielder now anyway (or at least should be).
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 05:43 AM) Considering his Twitter hasn't mentioned the White Sox since that day he changed his description, I think we know the answer. Maybe they are trying to trade him. Yeah I was mostly referring to seeing if he gets dealt for peanuts or non-tendered.
  23. We'll see if anything happens today. Anyone know what time the deadline is?
  24. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 1, 2016 -> 06:29 PM) They are collecting the 1 year deal pitchers that's for sure They want their young starters to earn their spots. These guys on one year deals make them tradeable later in the season or at the very worst, releasing them.
